sir, i am 38 years old, n wish to appear net exam, so what is the age limit, n what is the age limit to get lecturer job

minimum age limit is 19 years and
1.there is no upper age limit for net lectureship.
2.28 years for jrf net
so you can apply for lectureship in net exam

There is no age limit for NET exam for the lectureship.

The maximum age limit to join as a lecturer in most of the institutes is 50 years.

My date of Birth is 19th December,1985. I am 25 now.I have done B.Sc. in Chemistry HONS. and then done 3 years B.Tech. course in Food Technology and Biochemical Engg. from
Jadavpur University.I have qualified Gate on 2011 and selected for M.Tech. in IIT KHARAGPUR ,2011.After completion of this course I will be of 27 age in Month of August,2013.Then will I be eligible for starting PHD programe at that age? If yes,then what is the procedure?Please inform me soon.

Hi, you can start your Ph.D. at 27 years of your age.Don't miss to appear for the exams UGC-NET, CSIR-NET exams.Don't miss the scholarship for JRF.

Dear friend,

After MASTERS , you are eligible for NET exam but your degree must be from UGC approved university.

For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55%above in masters degree.

Part time course are not eligible for NET exam.

For Junior research fellowship course your age must be in between 19 to 28 years.
For lectureship ,There is no upper age limit but the Minimum age is 19 years.

the age limit of the NET exam is 19.after masters you are eligible for the NET exam. in this exam general OBC should have 55% in our degree(graduation level) which can be approved by any university.

part time jobs are not allowed in NET.
the junior research fellowship: age between 19 to 28
and there is no age limit in lectureship but at least 19 years then only eligible.

Dear Friend,

The NET examination is conducted by UGC in all India basis.The examination is conducted for the Junior Research Fellowship and Lecturer ship.
The Age limit Criteria for the Junior Research Fellowship is that the candidate must not be older than 28 years but for the Lecturer ship there is no age limit.

So at the age of 38 you are quite eligible to apply for the NET examination for the Lecturer ship.

For Junior Research Fellowship the age should not be more than 28 years
And for lectureship there is no upper age limit for applying.

* Candidates should be the citizen of India.
* Candidates should have the age limit within 18-28 years for net exam.
* For lecturer job age limit is 19 years.

* Candidates should get 55% at graduation
* Final years candidates can also appear for the exam

NET - NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST conducted by UGC twice a year for selection of lectureship and award to Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

The candidate having completed Post Graduation Degree in any stream with 55% marks from a recognised University is eligible to apply for NET.

AGE LIMIT FOR NET:-

For Lectureship- Minimum age 19 years with no limit to the upper age.

For JRF- 19 to 28 years of age.

NET stands for national eligibility test. This exam is conducted by UGC twice every year in the month of June and December. You can apply for those subject in which you have done post graduation.

Eligibility criteria:

The candidates should have post graduation with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university.
Final year students can also apply.
The age should be not more than 28 years for JRF. There is 5 years relaxation for reserved categories.
There is no upper age limit for the Assistant professor.

NET Exam pattern:

There is 3 papers conduct in the NET exam which is conduct on the same day.
These papers have objective type of questions.
