What is age limit for the 2016 exam for lps officer? I am desperately looking for information regarding the age limit for 2016 exam of ips. Please help me.

IPS stands for Indian Police Services. To join Indian Police Services, a candidate has to appear for the Civil Services examination and clear all the three stages of this examination.

Civil Services examination is conducted every year by UPSC. The academic eligibility criteria required for this exam is graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year candidates can also apply for the exam.

The age limit is 21-32 years for Civil Services exam for general category candidates. Upper age relaxation to candidates of reserved category such as three years to OBC and five years to SC/ST candidates. Age limit is calculated on 01st August of year of exam.

IPS is Indian Police Services and comes under Civil Services exam.

Age limit on 1st August of year of exam:

General category: 21 years and maximum age 32 years.

Three years upper age relaxation to OBC and five years to SC/ST candidates.

Academic criteria is bachelor's degree from a recognized university.

If you have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university then you are eligible for IPS exam 2016.

Your age should be in between 21 years to 32 years for general candidates.

Age relaxation is given below -

5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates
3 years relaxation for OBC Candidates
10 years relaxation for PHC candidates
5 years relaxation for Ex-serviceman

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services. Union Public Service Commission conducts the IAS exam along with IFS, IPS, Group A and Group B central services. This is one of the most hardest and challenging exam which requires much work and most of the candidates makes more than one attempt to achieve success.

Citizenship: You need to be a citizen of India.

Educational Qualification. You need a degree in any discipline of your choice from a recognized university.

Age Limit: The lower age limit for this exam is 21 years and the upper age limit is 32 years.

Age Relaxation: There is a five years age relaxation available for the Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe and three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes.

For the IPS officer which eligibilities are required i'm written below, Please follow:
> Candidate must be a citizen of India.
> Candidate must have completed his/her graduation or any bachelor's degree from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks.
> Candidate must be physically fit and fine.
> Candidate having backlogs are not eligible to apply.
> Candidate should not have any criminal background.
> The maximum age for the IPS exam is 32 years (for general category) 35 years (For OBC Category) 37 years (for SC/ST) candidates.
> The maximum attempts limit is 6 for general category, 9 for OBC category and there are no attempts limit for the SC/ST Candidates.

UPSC conducts Civil Services examination every year for the different services like IAS, IPS, IRS etc. The eligibility criteria for examination is:

The eligibility to appear for examination is candidate must have passed graduation fro any recognised university and age of candidates must be between 21-32 years +3 and +5 years relaxation in upper age limit for OBC and SC/ST candidates as on 1st August of year of appearing for examination.

Age limit to appear for Indian Police Service Limited Competitive Examination:
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years for General Category.
35 years for Other Backward Classes category candidate.
37 years for candidates belonging to a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe.
