i want to know the age limits and number of attempts for csat exam

Civil Service Aptitude Test Or Civil Service Exam is conducted by upsc Government every year. Its having Two exam one is prelims and 2nd one is Mains(you are eligible for this Exam if and only if you clear prelims.)
For Eligibility you must be A bachelor's Degree from Recognized university. Age limits are 21 to 30 years of age.
So you can conclude that a General Guy can Give 8-9 times CSAT exam in his Life time till he doesn't complete his 30 years of age.

Note:-
Upsc civil service Exam Date is on 12.06.2011 (SUNDAY). Its notification will be out in the month of February in leading Employment news papers and its on 19.
It will stay upto 21 of March 2011.

Hi

CSAT is the Civil Services Aptitude Test examination conducted by the UPSC. This exam has not been started yet and its a new scheme for the civil service examination. This test will be expected to start in this year 2011 .
The detailed eligibility criteria of the CSAT examination is given below:

AGE LIMIT:
The candidate applying for the CSAT examination should have age between
21 - 30 years. There is no relaxation in age for the candidate applying for the UPSC examination.

Education Qualification
The candidate applying for the various UPSC examination should required
at least graduation except few examination like NDA and SCRA.
So the basic qualification required in most of the exam is graduation.

The age limits for CSAT is as following:-

Minimum 21 years forall candidates,(as on 1-8-2011),
Maximum 30 years for General Candidates.
33 years for Backward Classes I BC – M / MBC / DNC and
35 years for Scheduled Castes,Arunthathiyars and Scheduled Tribes

The preliminary exam has been replaced by the CSAT exam. This exam will test the candidate on the aptitude. No changes have been made for the eligibility criteria. You need to be at least 21 years to appear and maximum age limit is 30 years. You will be allowed only 4 attempts.

CSAT or the Civil Service Aptitude Test is conducted by the UPSC each year.

Eligiblity can be notes as follows:

Age Limit:

Candidate must have achieved minimum 21 years of age as on 1st august of the year of examination.
Upper age limit for candidates in 30 years.(For OBC it is 33 years and for SC/St it is 35 years).

Maximum Permissible Attempts:

For general Candidates it is 4 times.
For OBC:7 Times.
For SC/ST:No Limit.

The forms are available now and you must submit the completed form by 21.03.2011.

Eligibility conditions for CSAT:
  • Age limits: Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 1st August, 2011.The upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC
Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs
  • Educational qualifications: Degree of a recognized university or an equivalent qualification
Number of attempts:The maximum number of attempts permissible to different categories of aspirants, who are otherwise eligible, will be as follows
General category (04); P.H. candidates belonging to general category (07); OBC (07); SC/ST/ (no limit)

Age limit and number of attempts allowed in CSAT(Civil Service Aptitude Test) exam. The exam is conducted by UPSC(union public service commission)

* Candidates should be graduate from a recognized university.

Age limits:

* Candidates for general category should be 21 to 30 years
* Relaxation for OBC category for 3 years
* Relaxation for SC/ST category for 5 years

Attempts:

* For General category - 4 attempts
* For SC/ST category - No limits
* For OBC category - 7 attempts

CSAT (CIVIL SERVICES APTITUDE TEST)

This examination is the first stage of the CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION, through which one can apply for the INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE,POLICE, FOREIGN SERVICES (IAS\IPS\IFS) .

The Acronym "CSAT" stands for Civil Services Aptitude Test. This Test is the first of three tests that are conducted for the Civil Services Exam by the Union Public Service Commission.

The Union Public Service Commission conducts the Civil Services Exam in three steps :

age limitation for csat are:

for general -21-30yr
for obc -21-33yr
for sc/st -21-35yr

equcational qualification
