there is no minimum age to complete b.tech,but there is an age limit for writing gate exam which is 30 years got general students and there is relaxation of 5 years for backward students,
as for m.tech is concerned there is also no age limit for doing m.tech

for getting admission in M.tech or gate exam entrance there is no such age limit as far as i m concerned........
you can give the gate exam and do the m tech .........
and also there is no age limit for completing the b tech but then it is preferred to complete the b tech at the age of 22-24 years

As far as i know there is not any upper age limit in GATE.
so you wont have to worry about the age limit regarding GATE exams.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. It is an entrance exam to qualify for the M.Tech course held by The IITs. It does not have any limit as such. However there are certain eligibility criteria that must be fulfilled. The Eligibility criteria as per the official website is:


Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.

Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.


Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master's degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.

Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by IE(I), AMICE(I) by the Institute of Civil Engineers (India)-ICE(I)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.

Actually you have to be not less than 21 years,the upper age is relaxable for getting into M.Tech or Gate entrance exam.

You have to pass your b tech before b tech. Age is not a consideration for this.

There is no age limit for writing the GATE exam. There is also no restriction on no. of attempts one can take while appearing in GATE exam.

So, you can appear in GATE exam as many times as you want & without any upper age limit.

As far as i know the IITs do not have any age criteria for selection of candidates in the MTech programme offered by them. For specific details please visit the website of IITs.

There is no minimum age for completing BTech but there is an age limit for appearing in engineering entrance exams like IIT-JEE,AIEEE etc

Eligibility for GATE exam is :

Hi,

You need to be 21-30 to get admission in MTech. But it is not mentioned in the advertisement of GATE.
You must contact them if they have removed this criteria.

To the best of my knowledge there are no any age limitation for completing or joining M.Tech or applying GATE.

Eligibility of Age: There is no age limit for Gate if you are in the final/pre-final year of a B.Tech/M.Tech program you are eligible for Gate.

And the minimum age must be 21 years.

there is no any specified age for passing BTech.There is also no age limit or number of attempts for the attempts.

Its nice to know that you want to appear GATE exam.
GATE exams are conducted by IIT for M.Tech course.
There is no age limit for writing GATE exam.
Any engineering or agriculture graduate can write GATE exam.

Not to worry...there is no age limit to finish your BTech....
But if you want to write you GATE exam to get admission for MTech then you need to be between the age of 21-30....

There is no age limit for Gate if you are in the final/pre-final year of a B.Tech/M.Tech program you are eligible for Gate.And as such there is not minimum age limit for B.Tech either however to appear for most B.Tech entrances you need to be around 17 years of age Now considering this and adding four years of B.tech.
generally a person is around 21 years of age while passing, considering generalization you
would be 21-24 years while passing B.Tech.
for your information this year itself a 14 year old took admission in IIT.

Fill the NTPC application form then apply for the interview if u clear that u r in NTPC

No there is no age limit for writing GATE exam and you can write it as many time as you can!!

but a mark or score of GATE is valid for only 2 years and if you get good in next chance then the better score will be your valid for applying!!

GATE does not has any upper or lower age limit.

All the students who are in final year or have completed there B.E/B.Arch/B.Tech/P.G. can appear in the exam.

Also you can attempt any no. of time as per your wish.

Your score will be valid for 2 years.

My friend is doing mtech in iit and he is 34 year old.he has job experience in HAL.is there any job opputunity for him after mtech.
