Re: Am I eligible to apply for IBPS exam after studying B.Tech 4 years?
I am not sure why you would like to apply for the IBPS exams. Surely you are eligible for them but I will definitely not recommend you to appear for these exams. It would be better for you to find jobs related to your degree.
You can find far better jobs with good salary in comparison to what IBPS jobs will pay you. There are two entrance exams by Institute of Banking Personnel Services for which you can appear. IBPS Clerical IBPS Bank PO If you are meeting the criteria of Bank PO then you are also meeting the criteria for Public Sector Undertaking jobs. Therefore there is no point of applying for Bank PO since you can have better job that too in government sector. As far as Bank Clerk is concerned, surely I will not recommend you to apply for IBPS Bank Clerk after completing Bachelor of Technology. I do not think anybody would recommend you. If government jobs is what you seek that better appear for the Indian Engineering Service of the Public Sector Undertaking jobs. But if you still insist on banking jobs. Please see the eligibility criteria mentioned below. IBPS Clerical/Bank PO Eligibility 1. Nationality of the candidate should be Indian. 2. Your B.Tech degree will be accepted as qualifying course. 3. Must have 60 percent marks to apply for Bank PO. 4. 55 percent in case you belongs to SC/ST. 5. There is no marks requirement for Clerical exam. 6. You should have either diploma or degree in Computers. 7. Otherwise Computer Science or IT subject should have been studied in 12th or college. 8. Age limit is 20 to 28 years for both these exams. 9. OBC will get 3 years relaxation while, 10. 5 years relaxation for SC/ST and, 11. 10 years relaxation for PWD. |
