i have 59.8% in +2 and 63% in my graduation (supplimentary pass), im eligible for bank PO's ?

It varies depending upon which bank you want to apply, here are some of the eligibility details of different banks in case of the marks..

SBI Bank PO Educational Eligibility:

Gen & OBC Candidates Must have 60% aggregate marks in XIIth standard or in Diploma after Xth standard and 55% aggregate marks in Graduation.

SC / ST / PWD Candidates Must have 55% aggregate marks in XIIth standard or in Diploma after Xth standard and 50% aggregate marks in Graduation.

For CA or CWA or CFA or CS (Company Secretary) Candidates, where graduation is not compulsory, Gen & OBC category candidates should have secured minimum 60% aggregate marks in XIIth standard or Diploma (55% in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates) and pass marks in above examination(s).

OBC(Oriental Bank of Commerce) PO Eligibility Criteria:


Minimum 60% marks for Science graduates (55 % for SC/ST/PWD) & 55% for graduates in other streams (50% for SC/ST/PWD) in aggregate from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government of India with the same percentages as stipulated above.

Bank of Maharashtra PO Eligibility:

a) A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade
OR
b) A Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade
OR
c) Chartered/Cost Accountant / Company Secretary (ACS) with a Bachelor’s Degree
OR
d) Post Graduate Diploma in Management.

Canara Bank PO Exam Eligibility :

The candidate should have successfully completed his/her graduation in first class with an aggregate of 60% from a recognized university (5% less for other categories). OR he/she must hold an experience of General Banking.

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Overseas Bank PO exam:

The applicant is required to have completed his/ her Final Year of Graduation (in any discipline) with at least 65% aggregate from any of the government recognized university.

Central Bank of India PO Eligibility :

It is a must for a candidate to be a graduate with at least 50% aggregate from a Recognized University to be eligible for this test. Only then can he/she apply for this designation

ICICI Bank-PO Eligibility :

The applicant must hold his/ her Degree of Graduation from a government recognized university with an aggregate of at least 55% in order to appear in the ICICI Bank’s Probationary Officer exam.

Bank of Baroda PO Eligibility :

Candidate must be a graduate with at least 55 % aggregate from a recognized University.

Vijaya Bank PO Eligibility :

The candidate must be a graduate in any discipline with an aggregate of at least 55% from a government recognized university.

Indian Overseas Bank IOB PO Exam Eligibility Criteria :

The applicant is required to have completed his/ her Final Year of Graduation (in any discipline) with at least 65% aggregate from any of the government recognized university.

The minimum marks required is 60% in most banks. So you are eligible to apply. It is important that you have a good score in bank test. Only then will you will be able to convince the authorities You also need to be well prepared for the interview.

what is the procedure for admission in MBA Finance or tourism and travelling

IT depends on the rules few banks like Allahabad Bank and SBI asks for 60% in 12th and at graduation level.

And few banks like Bank of Baroda asks for only 55% marks.

Those looking to apply forSBI PO recruitment 2011 must be within 21 - 30 yrs, as on 1.5.11 and have completed graduation in any discipline, as on May 1, 2011.

The 12th percentage are not recquired in sbi po exam. Only pass in graduation is recquried.The age should be 21-30 years.

As you have 63% in graduation and the eligibility requires minimum 55% to 60% ,so you are eligible for the exam except the Indian Overseas Bank exams .Because Indian Overseas Bank requires minimum 65% in graduation .

Dear Friend,

Yes you are quite eligible to apply for the Bank PO's job.
The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for the Bank PO's job is that the candidate should be a graduate with minimum 55% to 60% marks and the age of the candidate should be between 21 years to 30 years.The marks in class 12th are not considered. Some of the bank like SBI has not imposed any marks criteria.

So you can defiantly appear in the PO's examination.

The selection for P.O. is through two phases:-

Personal Interview

Yes you are eligible for bank PO exam, the eligibility criteria is vary from differant institutes some institutes asks the percentage in graduation and some institutes are not mentiones the percentage criteria.

But most of the banks are mentions the percentage in graduation is 60%, So you are eligible for bank PO(Probationary Officer).



The written examination will be conducted by the IBPS(Institute of Banking Personal Institute) for 19 banking sectors.



Eligibility criteria for bank PO:

The candidate should be complete graduation with atleast of 60% marks from a recognised university.

Percentage is not required for this exam.

Final year appearing students also eligible.

You must be a citizen of india.

Age limits is 21 years to 30 years,

3 years upper age relaxation for OBC candidates,

5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

YES YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO SIT IN THE WRITTEN TEST OF PO exams

Min eligibilty for PO exams is graduation pass
min age to apply is 21 years
max age to apply is 30 years
OBC gets 3 years age relaxation and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxation

This exam is conducted of 250 marks with 5 sections in it
They are
Reasoning, numerical aptitute, english, general awareness, computer knowledge

Each section has 50 marks and you ahve to score min 24 marrks in each section

IBPS will conduct the next PO exam in 2013

Currently the Eligibilty Criteria for the BANK Po exams of IBPS is:

So, if you meet the above eligibilty than YES you can apply for the PO exams that are conducted by IBPS on behalf of 20 Natioalised banks

Next IBPS PO exams may take place in June 2013
