Re: Am i eligible for Bank PO exam with 45% marks in graduation?
From 2013 onwards IBPS has declared that for Bank PO 60% marks in compulsory in Graduation.
Previously only Graduation in any discipline was required with no percentage limit but from this year you must have 60% marks then only you can apply for IBPS PO exam. So you are not eligible for IBPS PO exam because you have got 45% marks only in the Graduation. So don't get disheartened and apply for IBPS Clerical exam because for that there will be no percentage limit and if you become a clerk then after gaining some experience you can become officer in the bank. You can also apply for SBI PO for which there is no percentage criteria because it conducts its examination seperately and it does not comes under IBPS exam. So apply for SBI PO when the notification are out. The age should be between 21 to 30 years if you are General category . There is age relaxation for other categories. For more information visit following websites: -For IBPS http://www.ibps.in -For SBI http://www.sbi.co.in |

Dear Dudumian,
The Bank PO Examination is conducted mainly by : a) The Institute Of Banking Personnel selection b) The State Bank Of India First of all i would like to tell you that the percentage criteria has been removed by the Banks so the minimum educational qualification required for Bank PO Examination is just graduation in any stream from any UGC recognized university. The Other Eligibility Criteria for Bank PO Examination are : - candidates in final year of graduation are also eligible. - Your age should lie in between 21-30 years. - Candidates also get age relaxation as : a) For OBC Candidates : 21-33 years b) For SC/ST candidates : 21-35 years c) For Ex-Servicemen : 21-35 years d) For Widow / Divorced Women : 21-39 years e) For Physically Handicapped : 21-40 years So you don`t need to worry much about the Percentage criteria. I just advise you to concentrate on your preparation and try to crack the examination. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. As we know that the most of the public sector bank take recruitment through the IBPS CWE examination. As per criteria of the IBPS examination you are eligible to apply for the IBPS CWE examination for the bank PO. If your IBPS examination score will be good then you will call for the personal interview for the recruitment process of bank PO. In today age the competition is really tough so to get success you need to work hard. Only SBI bank take own examination for the recruitment of candidates while all other public sector bank take recruitment through the IBPS CWE score card. Do preparation well for the IBPS CWE entrance examination. All the Best. |
