i completed b.tech E.C.E and i had passed in second class,,,,,
But i have good interest to join in police department......

is i eligible for writing civils or groups I to reach the dsp carder....

yes, you are eligible for the group1 exams
you have a lot of interest in joining police department that interest make you to prepare well for the group1 exams
there is no branch difference, all branch students are eligible for civils and group1 exam
degree students are also eligible for these exams

Yes you are eligible for Civil Services Exam after passing you B.Tech course.

I.A.S exam exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Age limit:-
For Open category:- 21-30 year
For ST/SC category:- 21-33 year

Number of Attempts:-
For open category:- 4 attempts
For ST/SC category:- 7 attempts


CIVIL SERVICES (PRELIMINARY) EXAM., 2012
Date of notification:-04.02.2012
Last Date of receipt of form:- 05.03.2012(MONDAY)
Date of exam:- 20.05.2012(SUNDAY)

CIVIL SERVICES (MAIN) EXAM., 2012
Date of exam:- 05.10.2012(FRIDAY)

you are eligible for both UPSC and Group 1 also.

if you want to become DSP then you can write Group 1.
if you go for UPSC then you can become an IPS officer.
if you want to join police Academy then you can also write SI exams.

for all the above exams the required eduaction qualification is
Graduation from any recognised university.

age for all these posts will be between 21 and 30.
age relaxation:
3 years for OBC.
5 years for SC/ST.

to become a DSP to need to satisfy the physical requirements like height, weight, chest
vision etc.

if you satisfy these then you can apply for those exams and can join police department.

I am planning to apply for Group-I exams. But when I was filling the required information in the challan form, I came to know that the minimum height required for OC candidates is 167.6 cms. But I am falling short of 3 cms. Will that be a problem?

Hi,
You can apply for the civils or groups as these requires degree but not percentage.

You can very well apply through online too but you age should be below 30 years.

But in Groups you have to face tough competition and knowledge from childhood is much more important.

Civil Services examinations are the ones which are conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) for the recruitment of the Class 1 Officers in various Civil Services across the country.

A lot of aspirants apply for this exam but the available seats and posts are very limited and handful.

So this makes the competition tougher and tougher year after year.


The Basic Eligibility Criteria's to take part in this exam are :


1. You should be a minimum graduate in any stream from a recognized college or university with a minimum 50% aggregate in it.

2. Your age should be within 21-30 years if you are a General Candidate, 21-33 years if you are an OBC, and 21-35 years if you are an SC/ST Candidate.

3. You can take a maximum 4 attempts if you belong to the GEN, 7 attempts for the OBC and Unlimited Attempts for the SC/ST Candidates.

4. The Final Year appearing candidates can also apply for this exam.

5. There should not be any pending backlogs.


So if you fulfill the above criteria's then surely you can apply and sit for the Civil Services Exams.

As you have done B.Tech in ECE, so YES you are eligible for the Civil Exams after successful completion.

The exam for the 2011 is over, and so you have to wait for the 2012 Notification.

My friend , as ou have done B.tech in ECE stream , then you can surely eligible for civil service exams or group 1 exams..

So, don't worry after completion of graduation you can apply for these exams..

There is no such aggregate percentage criteria is mentioned..
All you need is you just have to complete the graduation.
