Hello,
I am Sathish and I have completed my Diploma in CSE and I want to do BCA my percent is 68% in Diploma. Please say me either I am eligible to do BCA or not?

BCA stands for Bachelor of Computer Applications.

BCA is an undergraduate course for those student who have passed 12th class or equivalent(diploma degree) with minimum 50% of marks.

BCA is undergraduate course of 3 years duration. Candidates must have Maths as compulsory in 12th standard.

Yeah after passing 12th class you can apply for BCA either you are a diploma holder or not.
So be assured you can easily apply go for this without having second thought in your mind.

General Eligibility Criteria for Indian students for BCA Course

The individual’s must be a citizen of India. Also preference is given to those who are residents of the state. Some institute do keep an age limit of 17 years.

Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Students for BCA Course

Valid passport is a must. Also they must possess a student visa. Some of the institutes like Vellore University, IGNOU do intake candidates of foreign origin.

BCA stands for the Bachelor of Computer Applications. The eligibility criteria for the BCA in most of the institutes in India is as below:

Yes, diploma holders can go for the BCA course but there are few universities which gives admission to diploma holders in BCA like Karnataka University, Manipal university, Bharatidasan university.

From my point of view, it would be better for you to go for the bachelor's degree in engineering or technology if you have done diploma in computer science engineering. You will get direct admission into second year of Computer Science Engineering.

The entrance exam conducted is Lateral Entry Entrance test.

The eligibility criteria for the Bachelor of Computer Application is:

1. Candidate must have done 10+2 from any recognized board or its equivalent with at least 50% of marks.

So being a diploma holder in computer science engineering, you can apply for the BCA course.

2. The minimum age limit is 17 years.

Some college gives admission based on the percentage of 10+2 marks while some take entrance test for selection of candidates.

No, diploma course is not eligible to do BCA course but if you have 12th standard degree then you are eligible for BCA course.
