Re: Am I eligible to do BCA being a Diploma holder?
BCA stands for the Bachelor of Computer Applications. The eligibility criteria for the BCA in most of the institutes in India is as below:
>>You must have done your 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized board. >>The percentage of marks scored in 10+2 or its equivalent should not be less than 50%. Higher is the percentage of marks more is the chance of getting good college for your degree. >>Most of the institutes demand mathematics as one of the subjects at higher secondary level but you can apply for the course even without mathematics. Yes, diploma holders can go for the BCA course but there are few universities which gives admission to diploma holders in BCA like Karnataka University, Manipal university, Bharatidasan university. From my point of view, it would be better for you to go for the bachelor's degree in engineering or technology if you have done diploma in computer science engineering. You will get direct admission into second year of Computer Science Engineering. The entrance exam conducted is Lateral Entry Entrance test. |

Re: Am I eligible to do BCA being a Diploma holder?
# Of course, you are definitely eligible for BCA course.
# Generally, candidate with educational qualification of 10+2 are considered eligible for pursuing BCA degree. # But in your case, you are diploma holder in CSE. Note that diploma after matriculation always considered equivalent to intermediate. # In this way, you are quite eligible to join BCA course. # As a general rule, candidates are required to have studied mathematics as one of the subject in 10+2 level for joining the BCA course from any reputed institute/university. # But in most of the institutes/university subject mathematics is not required for joining BCA course. # Actually BCA is the abbreviation of Bachelor of Computer Application. BCA course help in learning the languages related to computer. After completion of BCA degree, candidate has the option to join companies like WIPRO, Satyam, TCS, etc. |
