IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service and it is the highest post in the administrative field which one can achieve. Also to be an IAS officer one needs to clear Civil Services Examination ( which sometimes called as UPSC examination or IAS examination).

Civil Services Examination is held once every year by Union Public Service Commission. Also the same examination is conducted in three stages which includes Preliminary Test, Mains and Personal Interview respectively.

--> The minimum educational qualification required for appearing in the same examination are as here under :-

* You must have the nationality of India with your age lying within 21 years to 32 years in case you belong to general category otherwise there is provision of upper age limit relaxation for reserved category candidates as per the government norms.

* You must have completed your bachelor degree course with any discipline from a recognized university. There is no marks bar for one's eligibility. Students pursuing final year of same degree course are also eligible.

So being a pharmacy student which is a bachelor degree course you are eligible for the civil services examination once you get in the final year of same degree course if you satisfy the other criteria too.

For more details about the same examination you can visit the link www.upsc.gov.in.
