Yes , Colour Blind Persons are applicable for IES Exam .Because there is no restriction for color Blind candidate.

IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year.

If you have completed Engineering course from any discipline then also you are applicable for IES exam. In IES Exam there is no marks criteria .

OR

If you have M.Sc degree in Physics , Radio Physics then you are applicable for IES exam.

Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

But you can sit through below given categories -

Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electronics & Communications Engineering
Electrical Engineering

The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

Number of attempts for IES exam is for general student it is 4., for OBC it is 7 times. and for SC/ST it is 9 time.

Being a color Blind student yes, you can join IES and you can apply for it, For joining IES a candidate have to apply for Civil Service Examination Conducted by UPSC every year.....

IES stands for Indian Engineering Service. It is a annual entrance exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Due to the nature of work, it does not matter if the candidate is colorblind.

Indian Engineering Service is a popular entrance exam among the Engineering graduates. There are few hundred jobs offered through the entrance exam that are very reputed. These jobs are offered in various government departments such as:

Indian Railway Service of Engineers.

Central Engineering Service.

Indian Defence Service of Engineers (Civil Engineering Posts).

Indian Ordance Factories Services


The Indian Engineering Service exam offer jobs in four streams of Engineering:

Civil Engineering

Electrical Engineering

Mechanical engineering

Electronics and Communication Engineering


Eligibility

1. You should be citizen of India.

2. B.Tech/B.E. degree from a recognized college.

3. There is no percentage criteria.

4. Age limit is 21 to 30 years as on August 1 of examination year.

5. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC.

6. SC and ST are eligible for 5 years relaxation.

7. Final year students of B.Tech are also eligible.

Dear Friend,

Yes you are absolutely eligible for the IES exam even if you are a color blind person.

IES stands for Indian Engineering Services.

It is an UPSC examination which is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission.

But there are some eligibility criteria that you have to follow :

a) you must have completed your B.Tech in any of the following streams :

* Civil Engineering

* Mechanical Engineering

* Electronics & Electrical Engineering

* Electronics & Communication Engineering

b) Your age should lie in between 21-30 years.

c) you must be an Indian.

d) There is a relaxation in age of 5 years granted to SC/ST candidates.

e) Candidates in final year of B.Tech of the over mentioned streams are also eligible.

Obviously, you are eligible for IES(Indian Engineering Service).

Because of there is nature of work , there is no matter that candidate is color blind.
This exam is conducted by UPSC.

Go further for your goal because, there is no any obstacle in your way.

eligibility for ies exam:-
**educational qualification is graduation in engineering
**age limit is 21 to 30years
**then apply union public service commission
**it conducts every year
**it contains prelims and mains
**for sc /st candidates 35years and no limit to attend
**for BC candidates 33years and 7attempts
generally 4attempts are allowed
