Re: Am I eligible for IIT JEE?
the eligibility for appearing in IIT JEE is you should have minimum of 60% marks in 12th for general candidate. for SC/ST/PH the minimum percentage of marks is 55%.
your marks without biology is 61.4% but with biology it is less than 60%. now if biology was your main subject in 12 then you will not be eligible for IIT JEE. but if biology was not main subject then there is a chance to be eligible for IIT JEE. but for confirmation i will suggest you to contact with IIT JEE office. they will give you all details about your eligibility criterion and tell you about your eligibility. best wishes. |

Re: Am I eligible for IIT JEE?
From 2011 onwards there is a change going to be implemented for IIT aspirants. You will need 80- 85 per cent marks in their Class XII board exams to be eligible for admission instead of the current 60 per cent. This is told by human resource development minister Kapil Sibal and will be effective for those appearing for IIT-JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) in 2011. This is implemented to motivate students and to concentrate more on their board examination.

Re: Am I eligible for IIT JEE?
I am very happy to say that you are a lucky person. Because till this year, the minimum eligibility to appear for IIT-JEE is 60% in 12th Board exam . But from the academic year 2011 onwards it is 80%. So students have to do more and more hard work and they should have to get a minimum of 80% in their 10+2 in order to be eligible for IIT-JEE.
As far as your eligibility, calculate your aggregate percentage, if it is above 60, then you are eligible for IIT-JEE. Keep this in mind that IIT-JEE exam you can attempt for a maximum of 2 times and that too in two consecutive years. And in addition you will also be physically fit for the course for which you have applied. |

Anyway as you know that the minimum percentage required for IIT JEE exam is 60% aggregate in all subjects with a minimum 60% in PCM. Now your cumulative PCM score is (55+71+55)/3 which gives 60.33%. So I think you have just made it. But you have not cleared your biology paper, so I suggest that after IIT-JEE, complete with your biology paper, as IIT's dont accept students who have not cleared their boards. |
