Am I eligible for IPS exam after passing 2nd year IT?
i am in 2nd year in IT department, am i eligible for ips exam?

Hello Friend! You can apply for IPS exam while in final year of qualifying Examination or after passing it. IPS is known as Indian Police Service & to join IPS you have to appear in IPS exam i.e. Civil Service Exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) once in a year. One can appear in this exam After passing Graduation in any Discipline or while in final year of graduation degree course from recognized university. And there is no restriction on percentage to appear in this exam. To appear i Civil Service Examination your Age should be in between 21 to 30years(for BC 21 to 33years & for Sc/st 21 to 35years). Both Male & Female aspirants are eligible to become an IPS & hence appear in Civil Service Exam. To join Indian Police Service you should be Indian National. Physical standard for IPS for both Male & Female aspirant is as follows... I am sorry to tell you that you are not eligible for IPS exam because it requires min education qualification is graduation as you are not graduate so you are not applying for IPS exam , you can apply it in your last year or after graduation and your age should be between 21-30 for general candidate , 21-33 for obc , 21-35 for sc/st catagory . so first of all you will complete your graduation till that you will prepare for the exam.

yes , you are eligible for IPS exam , but you can appear in this exam after completing your graduate from IT.
Your age should also be in between 21 to 30 years. And you should be citizen of India. Best of luck... |

You are only be eligible for IPS exam after passing the qualifying exam which is Graduation Degree.
There is no separate exam for IPS(Indian Police Service), to become an IPS officer you have to appear and crack the Civil Service exam conducted by UPSC once every year. The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years which is relaxed up to 5 years for SC/ST candidate and up to 3 years for OBC candidate. The candidate has to under go three stages of tests in Civil Service exam:- CSAT-Civil Service Aptitude Test-Preliminary exam Civil Service main exam Personal Interview The candidate applying for IPS has to undergo certain Physical Fitness test. The Height should be 165cm for General male candidate and 150cm for female candidate which is 160cm for SC/ST/OBC male and 145cm for female candidate The chest should be 84cm for male and that to 79cm for female candidate which is expandable to 5cm for both the case.
