Re: Am I eligible for JEE Main and Advanced 2016 being less than 17 years old?
The full form of JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination. CBSE which stands for Central Board of Secondary Education conducts this exam once every year for admission in government engineering colleges like IIT, NITs, IIITs and other government engineering colleges.
You can apply for JEE exam for both stages even if your age is less than 17 years. You must be 10+2 passed out in 2015 or appearing for board exams in 2016 to be eligible for JEE Main and Advanced stage. Subjects combination must include Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Important dates for applying for JEE 2016 exam is over now. |

Yes, why not, you can definitely apply for Joint Entrance exam both stages even if you are less than 17 years. You just need to fulfill following criteria for exam:
>>10+2 passed or appearing from a recognized board and your stream in 10+2 must include subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Minimum of 50% marks is required. >>For JEE main exam, only candidates passed out in 2014 onwards are eligible and for JEE advanced those who passed out in 2015 are eligible. As dates for online application are already over, there is no chance to appear for this year exam, you can apply for next year exam when notification comes. |
