If you have failed to scored minimum 55% marks, then you are not eligible to apply for NET Examination. The examination is conducted in June and December every year and this year June NET Examination was already completed and December NET Examination Notification is going to be Published soon in October and after Notification online Registrations started. But when you are not eligible then there is no need to tell you details regarding NET Examination, You can Increased your marks by giving Improvement examination and when you have scored minimum 55% marks then you can apply for NET. If you want more information then you can visit the official website of UGC. http://ugcnetonline.in |

Re: Am I eligible for NET after finishing PG in education with 54.75%
Dear Friend,
Sorry to say but you are not eligible for the NET Examination if you have 54.75% marks in PG. I am saying this because the minimum educational qualification that you should have in PG to be eligible for NET is 55% . Also , you don`t have the minimum % of marks in PG. so , on this basis you are ineligible for NET Exam. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

Re: Am I eligible for NET after finishing PG in education with 54.75%
Unfortunately you can not apply for National Eligibility Test. The criteria for OBC in NET exam is same as the General students. Which means that in order to appear for NET, you need at least 55 percent marks in post graduation.
You are missing the mark by ver narrow margin but that is enough for University Grants Commission to reject it. As a matter of fact even if you had scored 54.99 percent marks, still University Grants Commission would not have allowed you to appear for the National Eligibility Test. This completely rules out the possibility for you to apply for National Eligibility Test. The relaxation in percentage is only given to SC/ST candidates. Such candidates can apply for NET if scored 50 percent or above marks. Eligibility 1. You should be of Indian origin. 2. Must have post graduation degree in any discipline. 3. You must have completed PG from a UGC affiliated college. 4. At least 55 percent marks in post graduation. 5. SC/ST candidates need 50 percent marks. 6. Final year students are also eligible to apply. 7. However they will need to submit their degrees within 2 years. 8. You should choose NET subject which is related to PG course. 9. The age limit for Junior Research Fellowship is 28 years. 10. Three years relaxation is given to OBC. 11. SC/ST gets 5 years relaxation. 12. There is no upper age limit to apply for lectureship. 13. There is no restriction on number of attempts. |
