I have successfully completed B.Tech Food Technology in ANGRAU university and if I take M.Sc DFSM in IGNOU university. Am I eligible for writing net exam?

NET stands for National Eligibility Test. NET is conducted by CBSE in June and December.

It is conducted for Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship.

Eligibility criteria for NET is:

1. Master's degree in any discipline with minimum of 55% marks.

2. Final year master's degree candidates can also apply for examination.

3. There is no upper age limit for lectureship. It is 28 years for Junior Research Fellowship.

You can apply for NET exam after master's degree.

If you have completed M.Sc from a recognized university with minimum of 55% marks then you are eligible to write NET exa. IGNOU is a well recognized university not only in India but also in foreign countries. So there will be no problem with it. Thanks

Following are the eligibility criteria:-

Candidate must have a degree of Post- Graduation.

Candidate must have at least 45 percent aggregate.

Candidate age should be more than 21 years.

There is no upper age limit required.

Central Board of Secondary Education conducts National Eligibility Test on behalf of University Grants Commission twice every year in June and December for Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship.

The academic qualification required for NET exam is master's degree in any stream from recognized university. Post graduates from IGNOU with 55% or more can apply for NET examination.

The upper age limit for JRF is 28 years and there is no upper age limit for Lectureship. You can apply for NET examination after Master's degree.
