hi, i have done my dploma in cs ,now i am doing correspondence bca(last sem) from ignou, after finishing my bca can i get a job ,how much value is there for bca correspondence and after completing my bca what cources i can do?

Yes. B.C.A through distance education have value if it is approve by Distance Education council(D.C.E)

After passing B.C.A you have many option like:-

IGNOU(Indira Gandi National Open University) is a central University of India.Degree recognized by IGNOU is acceptable through this world.IGNOU degree is approved from DEC(Distance Educational Council) as well as from AICTE also.So you do not have to worry about degree.You will have to decide first which you want to join after completing your BCA course.

After completing your BCA course you will be eligible to apply for jobs in Government sectors based on under-graduate,in software industries.You can also go for higher education such as for MCA(Master of Computer Application) or MBA(Master in Business Administration).

If you opt for joining Software Industry then you will work as as :-

• Software developer.
• Database manager.
• System designer.
• System and Network Administrator.
• Web developer.
• Testing Engineer.
• Marketing Executive..etc.

There will be three courses which you can do after completing BCA course.These courses are :-

1. Master of Computer Application.
2. Master in Business Administration.
3. Master degree in Statistics.

For MCA course you will can apply for IIT-JAM,NIMCET,BHU-JEE,JNU-JEE,BITCAT,WBJEE JECA..etc for taking admission in top colleges of MCA in India.

For MBA course you can apply for CAT,XAT,MAT,SNAP,C-MAT..etc for taking admission in MBA Colleges of India.

For Master degree in Statistics you will have to apply for Indian Institute of Statistics(ISI) entrance exam conducted by Indian Statistical Institute of India.

I have done BCA & MCA from IGNOU and holding 6 years of experience . Then also in final round of Interview HR has rejected me in Accenture due to my Certificate .

I was doing Physics Hons at Sikkim University but I could't passed so now I'm very much intreasted to IT field and want to do BCA from IGNOU. It is good that you have completed your BCA course in Distance Learning.

If you want to go for job opportunities on the basis of your BCA as the highest level of academic qualification, they will definitely ask this question.

Whether you have completed your BCA course in regular mode or not.

After listening to your answer, they may or may not allow you for the recruitment procedure.

This is in accordance to their companies policies and other rules.

However, some companies will not give much importance to this area and they will consider the way how you performed in the selection procedure.

The selection procedure may consists of
Written Exam
Group Discussion
Technical Interview
HR Interview

Try to be strong enough in subject knowledge and coding point also.

You need to perform more than the candidates who have completed their BCA in Distance learning.

Then only you will be having the scope to get the job.

No , annamalai distance is not recognised by UGC and hence invalid . You can check it on the ugc website

Its hard to get a job in private sector after completing your Degree from a Distance mode.


--sometimes companies can approach regular mode candidate first as compare to distance mode educated candidates.

But you are eligible for the various government sector jobs conducted by UPSC twice a year
