Re: Which is the best branch for B.Tech? What is the salary offered?
Its not that one branch in B.Tech course is best and the other branches are not best.
Each and every branch or stream in B.Tech course is having its own career scope and job opportunities for the candidates. Only thing is that the candidate should have to take the stream in Engineering as per his interest where his strengths are being fully utilized and have to make most out of the course. Due to this, the candidate can get Jobs in reputed companies wigh good salaries. Here are some of the popular streams in B.Tech course -Civil Engineering -Computer Science Engineering -Electrical Engineering -Electrica and Electronics Engineering -Biotechnology -Marine Engineering -Electronics and Telecommunication -Aeronautical Engineering -Mechanical Engineering -Information Technology -Mechatronics etc. Choose the one which you are interested. As per the salary, the salary that you are going to be offered depends upon the kind of company in which you are going to join and the kind of job which you are going to join. If you are placed in MNCs and in good job profile, obviously you will get good salaries. As of now there is a good demand for the candidates from IT and CSE streams. Microsoft pays 11 lakhs salary package also for the candidates. The candidates will be paid a salary ranges between 2 lakhs to 15 lakhs. |

Re: Which is the best branch for B.Tech? What is the salary offered?
dear friend,
See all branches are famous with its own sector. Among them some most of the famous branches are : * C.S.E. (Computer Science & Engineering) * E.C.E. (Electronics & Communication Engineering) * I.T. (Information Technology) * E.E. (Electrical Engineering) * M.E. (Mechanical Engineering) * P.E. (Production Engineering) The salary for the freshers depends up on the company like : * T.C.S. * Wipro * C.T.S. * Infosys * Accenture * Tech Mahindra * I.B.M. etc. They have offered the students as per the degree of the candidate. For UG (Under Gratuate) :- 2.8 lacks p.a. to 5.2 lacks p.a. For PG (Post Graduate) :- 3.8 lacks p.a. to 7.2 lacks p.a. ~regards~ priyo |

Re: Which is the best branch for B.Tech? What is the salary offered?
BCA is a 3-years specialized course that empowers the students with high technical skills. BCA course is technically close to B.Tech (CS /IT). Top recruiters like TCS, Wipro Technologies, Tech-Mahindra, Wipro Infotech, PCS, Cognizant, ITC-Infotech, Wipro BPO , IBM-Daksh treat BCA students at par with B.Tech students. As BCA degree is awarded after 3 years not 4 years (B.Tech.), the BCA students join early to the IT industry than B.Tech. students.BCA students can opt for any Masters degree, especially in Computer Science or Computer Application to persue higher education. Students with BCA, can choose their career path both by being hired by top companies or continue with their higher studies. Its all about shaping the students with right guidance, infrastructure and resources.

Re: Which is the best branch for B.Tech? What is the salary offered?
1. Job after graduation (B.tech) -
We know it is not an easy task to look for a job which fulfills our requirement but in an age of so much competition it is a troublesome task . I would suggest you not to just start with any job rather let your self sweat a bit for the right kind of job . 2. Masters after B.tech You have large number of options if you wanna study after graduation . a. For those who still want to try u , have CAT just waiting for you around the corner . It has been almost delayed by a month so just decide if you wanna crack it and get into top 15-20 colleges of INDIA . b. For those who want to go and achieve something big , can sit for there GRE and GMAT with equal hard work and endurance . 3. Other options There are now a wide range of options which can be thought of after being an engineer . a. Civil services b. Defense services c. Aviation industry d. Self venture etc Its still just a beginning when you start looking here you will get a fair idea what are your interests and what is your aim in life . Someone wants to work in an MNC (Multi National Company) whereas some dream to have a company of their own. Life is too short and there is lot to do . Just distribute your wants and your goals in two different categories and begin in a direction which would lead you to achieve something that makes you happy and contended in life . **A Little thought to Motivate and guide you** |

Re: Which is the best branch for B.Tech? What is the salary offered?
Hi
You should follow your interest. Try to find out where your interest lies. Read about each branch and kind of work it has. I guess that would be good enough to tilt you towards your interest field CS is good branch and provide good placement as more and more companies and IT jobs are coming up. Salary offered differs from college to college and also from company to company. If you do your engineering from top institutes /colleges then your salary may be as high as 10-11 lakhs Facebook recruited CS engineer for 77 lakhs per annum. Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco all pay huge package. A small college pays only 3.5 lakhs per annum ( company likes TCS, Cognizant, iGATE, Patni, Capgemini etc All the best |

Re: Which is the best branch for B.Tech? What is the salary offered?
Hi
Earlier girls were hesitant to join engineering branches that involved field works like mechanical, civil, chemical etc. Also company used to hire exclusive male candidates. but the scenario has changed now. Company no longer discriminate on the basis of gender because of two reason. 1. Girls are willing to take field job nowadays 2. Even jobs in civil, mechanical or chemical etc have managerial role as well where girls can work 3. Less number of girls in these branches/company, give you better opportunity to rise as you face less competition Thus each and every branch is good for you being a girl. You can follow your interest where you would like to go. Branches like Electronics, Computer Science, IT, Biotechnology have more number of girls compared to other branches all the best |

Re: Which is the best branch for B.Tech? What is the salary offered?
Hi,
Pls dont choose the branch only based on salary. Choose it according to your interest. The sectors which offer you more salary package is IT. Next to that we can say PSU (public sector units) for which you have to write GATE exam and score very high marks. If you want to earn quickly then IT sector is the only option. But even in that sector you will get a basic pay initially. only with your performance you can reach heights. Another option is to do MS after your UG. If you opt for MS then electrical will be better. If you go with only UG then CS will be better. |
