Generally the core engineering streams are regarded as the best engineering streams owing to their vast areas of application and utility.
The core engineering streams are:-
1)Mechancal engineering
2)Civil engineering
3)Electrical engineering
4)electronics and communication engineering

I would also like to caution you that there are very few companies in India and all the companies head straight away to the IITs and NITs so taking either of the core streams in the private colleges might be a little riky if you want to do a job right after BTech. However if you are pllaning to complete MTech also then there is no harm.
