The best time to start coaching for Common law Admission Test (CLAT) is as soon as you get promoted to the 12th Standard. Joining coaching for CLAT in the 11th standard will be bit early.

The Common Law Admission Test comprise of the following subject areas:
English
Current Affairs
Numerical Ability
Legal Aptitude
Logical Reasoning

Now, there are certain subject areas which needs just a basic homework and regular practice whereas for Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning, some sort of guidance is required.
While preparing for the CLAT, one must not take the +2 level of examination very lightly and qualifying it, must be the primary goal as you will need to score a minimum of 50% in the same to be considered eligible for the Common law Admission Test.
