dear friend,
being an engineering student, what i feel is that, engineering or B.E or b.tech are such fields whose demand would be always there till the end, irrespective of the economic recessions or global changing phenomenas as every field requires an engineer throughout the world. so, in next five years, i can see this carrer as a better one.
But wait a minute dude; this is my opinion. Whatever be the field, if you are a talented guy and technically sound, then any carrer option that you take would be the best one irrespective of the situations around you.
So identify your positives and interests and accordingly choose a carrer. and you would surely rock. All the very best. God bless you.

B.tech or BCA/MCA both are different with each other as B.tech is specially meant for the science students but BCA/MCA is meant for commerce & science streams. Both are very good & have a lot of scope in the next few years. But if you want to make a choice between them then you should go for the B.Tech one.the opportunities in this field are very wide as you can go in Design, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, Construction Supervision and Commissioning of Fertilizer & Allied Chemical, Refinery, Oil & Gas, Power, Housing/Township and Infrastructure projects.
After next 5 years as our country progresses then there will be no doubt that this option will provide you a handsome salary.

As per the demand i expect B.tech is a better stream compared to BCA/MCA .

If your interested in computer stream then you can opt B.TECH(CSE) which is of computer stream or even IT.

I can't tell you that BCA is not a good course but when compared to B.TECH its 1 step below it.As you know that BCA is a new degree course in the field of computer applications and the course is of three years. But you should opt BCA in a better college in Bangalore,Hyderabad,Delhi.

Compared to engineering the starting salary of BCA candidates are less but it all depends upon your talent.

all the best

as i am a engineering student , i don't say that you do engineering , but its upto you wherever you want to go as per as your interests, go there don't bother what others say,
but i still want to say that if you wan't to go engineering field its very good if you get selected in placements after 4 years,
but doing bca then mca it will take 5 years right, and both the field comes in 1 year gap,
if you are not in good college of B.TECH then try to opt for BCA/MCA
and after 5 years there will be lot of changes in our economic development

Dear friend,
I think BCA/MCA is more preferable for any average student but b.tech is also good, salary structure would be almost some, and priority almost same, but btech entance is more easier than MCA entrance...

I think B-tech is right option available for you because B-tech is degree course and it much value comparing to BCA or MCA ..
B-tech is 4 year course and BCA is 3 year course ..
and MCA is also good course you can apply but value is lesser then B-Tech..
Now days B-tech students has more demand comparing to MCA students...

My dear friend B-tech is B-Tech ...
Don't compare B-tech degree with others like BCA or MCA ..
However MCA is good but not like that of B-tech..
B-Tech has very high value comparing to other courses..

if u compare bca with b.tech, its true that b.tech stands high. But wait a minute, if u do MCA after bca it counts better than b.tech IT/CSE stream. The reason is because its a post graduation course that is meant to specialize you in the software field and prepare you for a better future in the global IT sector.

Dear friend,
Btech is best but i have to say you MCA is a master degree while other two are bachelor .So only Btech stands, and after that you can join any company or can do Mtech or MBA

Both the options are a good choice for the candidates. In both the modes, you are eligible to get the job opportunities in various top IT companies of India like
TCS
INFOSYS
WIPRO
GOOGLE
ORACLE
TECH MAHINDRA etc.

But the only difference is that completion of B.Tech course will take 4 years for the candidates where as completion of BCA and MCA will take 6 years for the candidates.

In such a case, I suggest you to opt for B.Tech course itself.

The admission for this course will be given on the basis of performance in the Entrance Exam.

Popular Entrance Exams to join this course are
AIEEE
BITSAT
IIT-JEE

The following specializations would be better choice for you in B.Tech course
Compute Science Engineering
Information Technology

My suggestion would be to have good preparation for any of the above mentioned entrance exams and get admission for B.Tech course in a top college.

If you did not get admission, then I suggest you to opt for BCA course at Graduation level.

You can get direct admission in order to join BCA course in many of the colleges.

Wish you all the best.
