IS It better to prepare for IES or GATE...please tell me which one is better

My dear friend, Both GATE & IES are best.
If you want to get an A class government job after completing your B.E./B.Tech then you should prepare for IES. IES is conducted by UPSC, which conducts IAS, IPS level exams, or in simple words i can say that IES is the job of IAS level in technical field for an engineer.
GATE is also best as if you want to study further, for M.Tech then go for GATE. and you know, from this year, many PSUs have linked themselves to GATE as NTPC, BHEL..... It will help you for PhD as well.

and bro, the best thing about both is that the 9 subjects of GATE are in IES as well. & preparing for IES & GATE will help you for other PSUs as they will cover, nearly all PSUs syllabus.

sir iam rizwan, i have completed b.tech in civil engg in 2014.
but still iam not understanding what do i preffer now job(IES) or higher studies(GATE), which one is best to go further in future.
could u explain if i preffer any one of those 2 what is the further process.
