Yes, ICSE stands for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education and it the recognised board.

Yes being the ICSE board candidates you are eligible to appear for the IIT examination conducted in the two stages as the Mains and Advance. Also there is no any reservation for any board candidates.

So you can appear for the examination being student of any board. The eligibility to appear for the examination is :-
* Candidates must have passed the 10+2 from the recognised board.
* Candidates must have the PCM as the main subject in the board examination.

There are maximum of three attempts to appear for the examination. The candidates after qualifying in the Mains are eligible for the Advance. The application for the examination is released in the November and the December.

So you can prepare for the examination board does not play the crucial role in getting the admission in the examination.
