tell me 2 books for afcat preparation. I am going to appear for afcat exam and want to crack the exam.

Dear friend,
AFCAT test consist of 100 questions and each question carry of 3 marks .. So the total marks of the test is 300.. you have to answered all the questions in 2 hours..
The four test sections are as follows-
1.Test of general awarness
2.Test of english language
3.Test of Numerical ability
4.Test of reasoning and military aptitude test..

The reference books for AFCAT exam are as follows-
1.AFCAT(Air force common admission test) exam guide by RPH editorial board

As the AFCAT exam is similar to the BANK PO exam , so you can follow Bank PO exam books like-
2.OSWAL Chapter- Bank PO solution papers(10 years solved paper)
3.Upkars SBI PO exam by T.S Jain

You can also solve previous exam papers... It will help you to understand exam pattern..

Afcat is called a common admission test as it is conducted for all three branches of indian air force. I.e. Flying branch, technical branch and ground duty branches in a single exam.


Afcat syllabus and pattern:-



1. The afcat question paper will have 100 questions. All questions will be of three marks each. For every correct answer the candidate will get three marks and for every wrong answer one mark will be deducted under negative marking. The total time allotted for the paper is two hours.



2. Each question paper will have questions from the following topics:-

1. Paper 1 multiple type question with 4 options and syllabus is as
follows-


(a) general awareness – history, sports, geography, environment,
civics, basic science, defense, art culture, current affairs,
politics etc.


(b) verbal ability in english – comprehension, error detection,
sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms and testing of
vocabulary.


(c) numerical ability – decimal fraction, simplification, average,
profit & loss, percentage, ratio & proportion and simple interest.



(d) reasoning and military aptitude test – verbal skills and
spatial.



Paper 2. Descriptive type and syllabus is as follows-


answer the questions from the given passage, letter writing and
essay on the given topics.
