Pattern of the examination ::

It consists of 100 questions of duration 2 hours and each question carry 3 marks. Thus AFCAT is a 300 mark test. This examination consists of four sections as below:

Air force common admission test is conducted by the Indian Air force twice in a year. This exam is conducted for the selection of candidate as an officer in various branches of Indian Air force such as FLYING BRANCH, TECHNICAL BRANCH and GROUND DUTY BRANCH.

In the AFCAT examination basically following topics are asked by the candidates in the examination:
(a) General Awareness
(b) Verbal Ability in English
(c) Numerical Ability

This examination is of 100 marks and candidate will get 3 marks for every correct answer and 1 mark is deducted for the every wrong attempt.
For the preparation of AFCAT examination you can study the following books:

AFCAT stands for AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST conducted by Indian Air Force twice every year for recruitment of officer in various branches of Air Force.

One should be a graduate from any stream within the age of 19 to 25 years of age to apply for AFCAT.

The selection is through written test of 100 marks of all objective type questions from the topics as follow:-

Hello Sir, for ground duty candidates the question of AFCAT paper will be same or not,
(AFCAT Air Force Common Admission Test for Flying & Technical Branch), this is not for ground duty and i applied for ground duty.
should i study with same book, or i should go for another as its not for ground duty candidate.???

Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on the performance in AFCAT followed by Intelligence Test, Psychological Test, Group Test, Medical Examination and Interview conducted by Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs).
Candidates applying for Flying Branch must appear for Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) based on their choice of branch/eligibility.
