The Chartered Accountancy course is basically offered through distance mode by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, however, there are few study centers accredited by the Institute but attending those classes are not mandatory to pursue chartered accountancy course.
If you have passed +2 exam or you hold a bachelors degree in any stream, you are eligible to pursue the course provided you qualify Common Proficiency Test- an entrance test for candidates willing to pursue the course.
The upcoming test is going to be held on 17-06-2012.

For admission procedure and other details, you may contact the regional center of the Institute located in your or any other nearby City.
Apart from contacting the regional centers, you may also refer to the official website of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Chartered Accountancy Course (CA) can be done through correspondence for sure, all you people need to do is register with the ICAI (institute of chartere accountants of india ) , minimum qualification for registration is just 12th , i.e., intermediate.

You can take coaching where ever you want if necessary.

CA course i.e chattered Accountancy course which is basically offered through Correspondence course by ICAI (Institute of chattered Accountant of India).

After +2 you can register for this course generally this course has three levels Foundation , Inter , Final levels you can enter each level after clearing one after one .

If you are graduate then you can skip out the foundation level & can direct enter in to the Inter level .

Yes, you can pursue the course of CA as coresspondance. The course named Chartered Accountant is good course. In order to get entry in this course, one must have to give the entrance exam first. This exam is taken 4 times in a year in February, May, August and November. This test is known as Common Proficiency Test(CPT).

Eligibility Criteria for CPT:

1. The candidate must be 10+2 passed from recognized board.

2. Candidate must register themselves with board of studies of ICAI.

Pattern of Exam:

Total Marks: 200

Paper I:

Section A:

1. Fundamentals of Accounting(60 marks)

2. Mercantile Laws(40 marks)

Paper II:

3. General Economics(50 marks)

4. Quantitative Aptitude(50 marks)

Registration Fee is 6000/- only. Cost of Prospectus is 100/-.

yes ca is a correspondence course which is conducted by institute of charted accountant of india

institute of charted accountant send study materials for preparation, students can either prepare themselves or can take help of private tutions ,

as it is not very easy to do ,mainly students take coachings for few subjects to clear their exam,

there is no college or attendence system, students have their own time to prepare for the exam

CA is fully correspondence course, by INSTITUTE OF CHARTED ACCOUNTANT IN INDIA...

It is a correspondence course, no classes are provided by ICAI.
this is a professional course, you just have to CLEAR 4 STAGES in this course. by clearing all 4 stages EXAMS , you will be a CA.

ya, you can take tuition classes for clearing the exams, there are many private institution which provide coaching for ca exams, but that is a different thing. this is not at all connected with ICAI.

I M GIVING YOU THE DETAILS OF ALL THE 4 STAGES AND THERE SUBJECTS...

1. CPT or a graduation degree
- minimum 55% required if you opt BCOM or BCOM(H) at graduation level.
- minimum 60% required if you opt any other graduation course.

To pass a student has to obtain a minimum of 40% in each paper and an aggregate of 50% in all the papers of both the groups together if attempting both the groups or all the papers of a single group, failing which the student has to reappear in all the papers of that group/groups again.

THEN you have to go through 2.5 years of ARTICLESHIP in a COMPANY OR UNDER A REGISTERED CA...

4.FINAL

Then after clearing all these steps you will be a CA...

Yes, you can definitely do CA now if you are academically qualified for it, you can become a CA at any age. There is no upper age limit for taking admission in Chartered Accountancy or clearing it.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must have passed class 12 or appearing for Class 12 in current year.

• Exemtions- Graduates and Post Graduates or candidates with equivalent qualification.

• You need to have minimum of 60% in your graduation. For commerce stream, percentage criteria is 55%.

• There is no age criteria for CA course.
