i'v completed my +2 in commerce stream..& now i'm doing my 1st year degree in bcom..bt, i'm interested in fashion designing..so, i thought of joining NIFT after completing my degree 1st year course..
can anyone plz suggest me the course i can opt for?

Yeah, I think you can apply for NIFT.
NIFT is the best instiute in the country for Fashion & apparel related courses. Admission is through entrance Test.

yes , commerce student also can enroll himself in NIFT course but you havent mentioned whether you want to get in master degree or bachler degree however if you want to take admission in master degree then you are eligible for Master in Fashion design and Master in Fashion management. But you have to take entrance exam for this to get admission.

As you have completed 10+2 in commerce,you are eligible for the
B.Design (Fashion Design / Leather Design / Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design / Fashion Communication) course.

But to get addmission in NIFT,you have to clear the NIFT Entrance exam.
The eligiblity for the B.Design (Fashion Design / Leather Design / Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design / Fashion Communication) is follows-:

i. 10 + 2 from a recognized Board of Education.
ii. 3 or 4-years diploma recognised by AICTE or a State Board of Technical
Education.

It is good that you have decided to follow your interest.Its not too late at all
as you are in 1st year of your degree only.
Prepare well for the tests.My BEST WISHES to you.

yes u can join nift.
it is a fashion institute and u can only just give the entrance test to join it.

NIFT stands for the National Institute of Fashion Designing. Its a college which provides the Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F Tech.) in

Fashion Design

Leather Design

Textile Design

Knitwear Design

Accessory Design

Communication Design

Eligibility:

For all the above Bachelor’s program the minimum educational qualification of the candidate is that he/she should have completed 10+2 from any Public School/ Board/ University Examination in India.

So yeah even if you are from a commerce stream you can join the NIFT. It would be nice if you have the designing talent in you, you would be able to pick up things faster.

Important Dates of NIFT Exam ::

1. The application form will be available from the second week of November to the first week of January.

2. Written Examinations will be conducted mainly on the month of February.

3. Group discussions and Interview will be commonly held on the month of April and May

4. The results will be announced on the first week of June.
