The proposal for recruitment of girl candidate through the NDA exam has been made by the authorities but there is no official news about the status of the proposal. Being a girl candidate, you won't be eligible to apply for the upcoming NDA exam. NDA - National Defense Academy

This is basically an All INDIA Entrance Exam conducted for the selection of candidates for the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.
This is conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year in the month of April and August. There is NO Other NDA exam the whole year.

So at first there is no NDA in the January Month. You have to apply either in NDA 1 which is going to be held every April or you can apply for the NDA 2 which would be held in the month of August.

The Basic Eligibility Criteria for the NDA Examination are very important and the applicants must fulfill them for successful application. They are :-

-> You should be a minimum 12th pass from a recognized school or state board in India. No minimum percentage is required.

-> You should be an Unmarried MALE Indian.

-> Only those who have studied Physics and Mathematics can apply for the Indian Air Force/Navy.

-> Also Physical Fitness is a must in it.

-> And the age of yours should be between 16.5 to 19 years.


Iff you satisfy these, ONLY THEN can you apply for the NDA Examinations.

Now coming to your question, I am really sorry to say that GIRLS are not eligible to apply for any of the NDA Examinations as of now.

----the eligibility criteria for giving NDA examination are given below:

1.academic criteria

----- You must be 12th pass from a recognized school or state board in India. however no minimum percentage is required.

---- You must be an unmarried male Indian.

---- Only those who have studied Physics and Mathematics can apply for the Indian Air Force/Navy.

-----physical fitness is must.

2.age limitations:

----- your age must be between 16.5 to 19 years.

one can join indian armed forces by giving the national defence academy exam commonly known as NDA which is held twice every year.this exam is conducted by UPSC ......

By giving this exam one can get admission in the three armed forces of india namely::

-Indian millitary academy

-Indian naval academy

-Indian airforce academy


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

-The Age should be B/W 16.5 to 19 years

-candidates should have passed or appearing XII class from a recognized board or university

-candidates having PCM can also apply in all the three branches mentioned above.

-candidates not having PCM can only apply for Indian Millitary Academy and not for navy or airforce.....

-only unmarried male candidates can apply.....


hence sorry to say,but you are not eligible for this exam since you are female candidate......

But do not get disappointed.....you can join the Indian defence forces after graduation by giving the combined defence services exam.....

Hi friend...

Its really nice that even being a girl,you are interested to join Indian Army which most of the girls even don't think of.

As a girl,though you are not eligible for NDA but there is no need to worry because

the Girls can join INDIAN ARMY through other entries called
· CDS(Common Defence Services)
· TGC(Technical Graduate Course)
· AFMC(Armed Forced Medical College)

The Girls after clearing the CDS exam will join OTA for the Training and After clearing the AFMC,Girls have to join AFMC,pune.

The Girls can also be a pilot in INDIAN AIR FORCE.

So friend you must first complete graduation in any stream to join INDIAN ARMY through OTA and after clearing CDS exam and SSB you will be called for the admission.

Now,let me introduce you about CDS:-
CDS stands for Combined Defence Academy and the exam for CDS is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice a year.
Through CDS,you can go for:-
1.Air force Academy.
2.Navy Academy.
3.Officer Training Academy.
4.Indian Military Academy.

There is an age limit for CDS.
I am specifying it below:-
1.Air force Academy.- 19 to 23 years.
2.Navy Academy.- 19 to 22 years.
3.Officer Training Academy.- 19 to 25 years.
4.Indian Military Academy.- 19 to 24 years.

Educational qualifiationrequired are:-

For Indian Military Academy/Officer's Training Academy:- You have to complete your Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University,
Final year appearing candidates are also eligible for this examination.

For Naval and Air force Academy:- You have to complete your Graduate degree course with Maths and Physics as a compulsory subjects or you must have complete your Engineering degree course from a recognized University .

After you qualify the written examination,you will be called for an interview and medical test.
