Girls are not considered eligible to participate in the NDA Exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission. As per the present regulation of the National Defense Academy, only male candidates may take join the academy by qualifying the examination. However, according to sources, proposal has been made to allow girls for the National Defence Academy, but is yet to be approved.
Female candidates wishing to join the Defense Forces of India,are sent to Officer Training Academy for mandatory training.

For NDA Exam, male candidates should be within the age limit of 16.5 to 19 years and since the examination is conducted for all the three defense forces of India, Physics and Mathematics in the 10+2 level is mandatory to apply for the Air Force as well as for the Naval Wing of the National Defense Academy.

The examination comprise of two papers:

• Mathematics
• General Ability Test

Mathematics:
Algebra
Matrices And Determinants
Trigonometry
Analytical Geometry Of Two And Three Dimensions
Differential Calculus
Integral Calculus And Differential Equations
Vector Algebra
Statistics And Probability

General Ability Test:
English
Physics
Chemistry
General Science
History
Geography
Current Affairs

Eligibility, age limit and other limitations for girl to join NDA

A girl cannot join NDA. Eligibility criteria for the same is as under :-
1. Age-16.5 to 19 years.
2. 12th passed in any stream for Army.
3. 12th passed with Maths & Physics for Navy & Air Force.
4. Should be a citizen of India.
5. Students appearing in the 12th class can also apply for this exam.

Can Girl Candidates Appear For NDA

Eligibility Criterion :-

A candidate can appear for the National Defense Academy Exam only if :-

>> The candidate has cleared class 12th from a recognized board..

>> The candidate must be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years..

>> The candidate must be an unmarried male..

I am really sorry but girls are not eligible for appearing for the NDA..

However, you can appear for the CDS (Combined Defense Services) Exam also conducted by the UPSC in the months of February and September..

Eligibility Criterion :-

>> Candidates who have cleared their graduation or are appearing for the final exams from a recognized University can appear..

>> You must be within the following age limits depending on the trade you want to join :-Indian Navy :- 19-22 years
Indian Air Force :- 19-23 years
Indian Military Academy :- 19-24 years
Officer's Training Academy :- 19-25 years


Exam Pattern :-

Candidates shall be tested on the following topics :-

>> Elementary Maths
>> General Awareness
>> English

The details information for NDA exam :-

National Defense Academy (NDA) allows only male candidates to apply for the NDA entrance exam. Candidates who desire to join the Army wing of the NDA must have a pass in class 12 or its equal from any subject stream. The certification must be from a recognized board or university. Those who aspire to join the Naval Wing and the Air Force must have a pass in class 12 in science.

Candidates who are going to appear for the class 12 or its equal exam are also suitable to submit an application for this exam. As to get admitted into the Naval Academy and National Defense Academy, the candidates also need to pass in the physical fitness test, as part of the selection process.

The physical details...........

*Eye- Sight Should be 6/6.

*Your Height Should be minimum 167cm

*Your chest should be minimum 77cm.


Age limit :-

Candidates who are appearing for the NDA exam must be unmarried males. They must be atleast 16 1/2 years and not more than 19 years on January 1st or July 1st of the year subsequent to the year of the exam.

National Defence Academy(NDA) is not meant for Girls, it is only meant for Boys.

The NDA exam is conducted by UPSC twice every year for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

Regarding eligibility for NDA, one must be an unmarried Indian male candidate only having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness.

Regarding syllabus of NDA:- The candidate has to write on the following subjects:-

-Elementary Mathematics
-General Awareness
-English

I am sorry to inform you , girls are not eligible for the NDA (NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY) examination, which is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC)..
Only male candidates are eligible for this exam.

So, I suggest you to complete graduation, then appear for the CDS (COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAM)..
Through this exam, one can apply for all the combatant branches of the Indian army,..
i.e.,
INDIAN AIR FORCE (IAF)
INDIAN NAVY ACADEMY (NA)
INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY (IMA)..

If you want to apply for the INDIAN AIR & NAVAL FORCE,. you must have pysics & maths in graduation, also you must have scored atleast 60% in graduation (aggregate).

The age limit for the exam is ,,,,
Indian air force (19-23 ) years,
Indian naval academy (19-21) years
Indian military academy (19-25) years..

You must have Indian nationality with marital status unmarried.
