About NDA Eligibility :::-

Union public service commission is conducted the national defense academy exam every year twice for admission in indian army or indian navy or indian air force courses and this is inviting the applications for following qualifying students.

~~ Indian Citizen,

~~ Unmarried male candidate,

~~ You must completed the 10+2 from recognized board,

~~ Your age limit should be between 16 1/2 years to 19 years,

~~ In defense sector upper age limit is not available.

First i want to inform you that girl candidates are not eligible for the NDA examination. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for the NDA examination.

NDA is stand for the National Defence Academy. The NDA examination is conducted twice in every year named as NDA-I and NDA-II. This examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Here i give you the details eligibility criteria for the NDA entrance examination please read it carefully.

--> Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for the NDA entrance examination.
--> Pass 12th class from a recognize board/University. The 12th board exam appearing student can also apply for the NDA examination.

no dear i am sorry to say that there is no such provision for girls to appear or qualify the NDA as it is only for unmarried males in the age group of 16years 6months to 19 years having passed 12th class with maths and physics as a subject for entry into the naval & Air force wing.

but yes i have some good news for you.As you have a desire to serve the country through its armed forces deptt. you have choice of exams like SSB, CDS,TGC,AFMC,OTA,UES,NCC entry.

Your minimum height should be is 152 cms for joining Army.

Only boys who pass 11th and and 12th with any stream are eligible for this exam..

If you want to join Indian Army then you have to pass graduation with any stream.

After passing graduation you will have to qualify C.D.S exam.

C.D.S is Combine Defence Services.

C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

Age of the candidate should be in between 19-24 year.

This exam is conducted in three stage:-

> Medical exam

Educational Qualifications :

(i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Airforce,Army,Navy & Navel Academy.

To appear in this exam candidate must have passed 12th class with around 55% marks with Physics, mathematics, and Chemistry from a recognized college. Final year students in 12th class are also eligible to apply NDA.

But Girls are eligible for CDS exam which you can give after your graduation and also in the final year of your Graduation.

Sorry to say as you are a female, this examination does not entertains girl's candidature. As NDA only unmarried male from 16.5 to 19 years are eligible. However, you do not loose your heart, there is option to serve in Indian Army through OTA (Officer's Training Academy). OTA is one of the defense academy. Only female candidates are allowed to join this academy by :
1. CDS that is Combined Defense Services
2. TGC that is Technical Graduate Course
3. AFMC that is Armed Forces Medical College

Eligibilities are:
1. Age within 18-25 years
2. Recognized University graduate from any stream
3.Indian nationality / citizenship

The paper of NDA has questions from maths , Science, general knowledge, Current affairs.

There is a special entry scheme for women who have NCC C certificate.

So if you take up NCC in graduation then you can apply for that scheme if you have the required certificate.
