I am Pooja. I am in M.Com Final Year. I want to appear in NET UGC EXAM in Dec.2010.Can I appear in this exam? If yes, then what should I choose JRF or Lecturership? And What subject should I opt for this exam?

For appearing in national eligibility test which is conducted by university grants commission , one should have got fifty five percent marks in post graduation . I think as you are in final year of M.com you first say your concentration to your post graduation and after that gofor junior research fellowship

Hi Pooja,
U can definitely appear for NET UGC EXAM in Dec.2010.
Act fast because as the last date for online form submission is 25th oct. 2010. and last date for submission at test center is 01st Nov. 2010.
Choosing JRF or Lectureship depends on u, if u want to do Reaseach in future go for both and if u only want become a lecturer the opt of lectureship only.
Since u r in commerce, u have to opt for commerce.

Since you are commerce post graduate and commerce is also there in the list of UGC subjects(at subject code : 08) , you can apply for UGC-NET examination. Commerce is the only subjects which you can take in NET because it is directly in the list, you can take another subject only if your postgraduation subject is not in the list of UGC.
I think clearing this NET would make you eligible only for lecturership into which you would have some stipend according to government norms.
