Yes you can join surely to IAF ( Indian Air Force ) after 12th. I think you are now pursuing your bachelor degree. So I think at first complete it then join to IAF and it will be beneficial to you also. Besides this your percentage is till now is so good that you can get a good job in IAF after graduation.

There are generally three branches and for these three branches there are three different eligible criteria.The three department are :

1. Flying Branch,
2. Technical Branch,
3. Ground Duty Branch.

The selection procedure are consist of two types which are :

1. AFCAT(Air Force Common Admission Test) and
2. Air Force Selection Boards(AFSB) .

Hello friend,
You can definitely apply for Indian Air Force after +2, and to do so, you will have to qualify the NDA exam, conducted by Union Public Service Commission.
To be eligible for the NDA exam, you must have studied Physics and Maths at +2 level.
The minimum eligible age is 16 1/2 years and the maximum age limit is 19 years.

After qualifying the exam, you will have to undergo training at the Air Force Academy and after completion of all the necessary training, you will be recruited as an officer in the Indian Air Force.

Yes, you can apply the Indian Air Force after passing 12th with physics
chemistry and math from recognized university.

N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.
After qualifying this exam you can start you career in defence sector like:-
>> Indian Army
>> Indian Air force
>> Indian Navy

Eligibility criteria:-
> Pass 12th with physics, chemistry and math
> Age limit:-16.5-19 year
> Medically fit

There are 3 steps of selection:-
-Written exam.
-Interview
-medical exam.

YES , You can applicable for Indian Air Force exam through NDA exam.

NDA - Stands for National Defence Academy


This examination is conducted by the Union public service commission (UPSC) twice in a year.

As my knowledge there are some basic and important eligibility criteria are described below-

AGE: - Your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

NOTE: - Only unmarried males are eligible.

Educational Qualification : - candidates must passed 10+12th with Physics and Maths and have to minimal 60% in 10th.

NOTE : - Candidates must be physically and medically fit for the NDA test.

EXAM DATE FOR NDA EXAM:-

Date of commencement of notification : 31-12-2011
Last date to receive completed application forms : 30-01-2012
Date of NDA I Exam : 15-04-2012
