Sir my name is Palmo lama i have complete my graduation from arts stream kindly tell do i get opportunities to join in Indian Air force .

To join in Indian Air Force after completion of your Graduation, you must have to appear in CDS examination which is conducted by UPSC twice a year. Eligibility criteria required to appear in CDS examination is mentioned below :-

1. You must be a citizen of India.

2. You must have completed Graduation degree from a recognised university with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level.

3. You must be in between 19-24 years of age.

4. You must be Physically fit as per physical standards mentioned in the UPSC CDS examination notification.

So, if you have pursued your 12th standard with Mathematics and Physics subjects from a recognised board, you are eligible to join in Indian Air Force after completion of your Graduation from a recognised university.

No, after completion of bachelor degree in Arts you are not eligible for Indian Air Force but you can apply for India Army through CDS exam.

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service exam.

Eligibility criteria:-

Indian naval academy: You should have completed engineering graduation or B.Sc with physics, mathematics subjects from a recognized university.

Indian Air force academy: You should have completed engineering graduation or B.Sc with physics, mathematics from a recognized university.

Indian Military academy: You should have completed graduation in any stream from a recognized university.

Officers Training Academy: You should have completed graduation in any stream from a recognized university.

Age Criteria:-

Indian Military Academy: - 19-24 Years
Air Force Academy: - 19-23 Years
Naval Academy: - 19-22 Years
Officer's Training Academy: - 19-25 Years

Yes, you are eligible to join "Indian Air Force" after successful completion of Graduation in "Arts" stream. Generally to join Indian Air Force wing, there are two ways,
1) Through Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam

2) Through AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test)

But the basic eligibility criteria required to be eligible for CDS Examination is " B.Sc with Physics and/ Or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering" from a recognized university. Since you are from Arts stream, I am sorry you cannot join Indian Air Force through CDS Examination.

There is a possibility to join "Indian Air Force" (IAF) wing through AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) Entrance Examination. Through AFCAT Entrance Examination, generally candidates can join the following branches namely, Technical Brnch, IAF, Flying Branch, Ground Duty Branch. The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for AFCAT Examination is "3 year or 4 year Graduate Degree" in any discipline from a recognized university. The minimum percentage you must have attained in Graduation is "60% marks" in order to be eligible.

Sorry that you are not eligible for Indian Air Force wing after completing the Graduation in Arts Stream. Only those candidates who are completing a Graduation in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects are eligible to apply for the Indian Air Force wing. However, being a Graduate student you can join in Indian Army wing through the Combined Defence Entrance exam which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. Your age should be not more than 24 years to be eligible for Indian Army wing though CDS exam.
