Can I apply for government jobs in engineering or administration after completing BE and M.Sc Degree?


Hi this is Shwetha,

I have completed my BE ECE in with aggregate 55% marks and MSC Env Science from distanc education with aggregate 61% marks. Shall i get any Govt jobs in administration section or any engineering related jobs.

Both the options are available. You can apply for jobs in technical departments in government companies. Job opportunities exist in public sector companies like BHEL/BEL/ONGC/IOCL/SAIL etc. You should attend written examination to secure jobs in any of these companies. Bank job for positions like PO/Specialist Officer etc is also a good option. If interested, you can try for positions in academic area. Since a Post graduate, you can appear for UGC NET exam and get in to lecturer posts in government colleges or universities. Some of the other departments where in one can apply for jobs are railways, civil Services, Income tax, Excise etc.
