I am a B.tech 3rd year student and I am doing my B.tech in computer science and engineering.I want to that can I apply for Indian Airforce in technical branch and can i apply in 3rd year.

No, you are not eligible for Air Force technical branch. Only the candidate who complete B. Tech in any one of specialization like, Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) OR Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical) are eligible to apply for technical branch. Since, you belong from computer science specialization. it's not possible for you to join in Air force technical branch. The candidates who wish to join in Technical branch must appear in Air force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) examination.

Eligibility Criteria:- The candidate must have completed B.E/B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics ) OR Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical ) with at least 60% marks from recognized university.

So, as per the eligibility criteria you are not eligible for Indian Air force technical branch. But you have chance to to join in Indian Air force wing through CDS entrance examination which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. Graduation in science stream or engineering from recognized are eligible to apply for Indian Air force wing through CDS examination. The candidates age should be in between 19 years to 23 years.
