I am currently pursuing my B.Tech(IT) final year. I want to write jipmer Entrance Exam 2011. I am eligible to write this ..

JIPMER i.e Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) conducts an entrance test for admission to its MBBS course.

It has a total of 100 seats in its MBBS course and out of these admission to 82 seats is through JIPMER entrance. Rest 18 seats are through nomination by Government


Eligibility Criteria

• Have passed Equivalent Exams like 10+2 Exam with at least 50% aggregate marks in PCB
• You should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31.10.2011

As you can't Give JIPMER exam as you have done with graduation and which is IT field.
Why you want to change your IT career to Medical Research .... This exam is only Meant for 12 pass or 12 appearing Students only, Not for after graduation.

Dear friend,

You have already done your graduation in B.Tech. So why this sudden switching to medical field??

By the way, you are eligible to appear in the JIPMER exam, if you had physics, chemistry, biology as main subjects and you have scored at least 50% marks in 10(+2).

but u r already completed ur b.tech then why u r going to medical field...its very difficult to manage...

Minimum qualification required is that a candidate must pass Higher Secondary (10+2 level) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with the Science subjects PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology).

JIPMER entrance exam basically for medical students.
so soory you are nt eligible for the JIPMER exam.

1. Essential: Applicant must be a resident Indian national; should have studied and completed his/her course in the schools located in India in the preceding two years
2. Applicants should have been born on or before 01st January, 1995
3. Educational: Applicant should have passed higher/senior secondary examination (10+2) with minimum 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and a pass in English for UR and 45% for UR-OPH and 40% for SC/ST/OBC

I m applying through online for mbbs.There was a segment where it was written father's & mother's name.So I had written both name.But after getting the print out of the application form there was written only father's name.So pls tell me whether this"ll be ok or I have to fill another application form.

what may be total expenditure to complete the course if i am selected through entrance exam conducted by jipmer?
