Re: Can I become IAS Officer after completion of B.Sc in IT? What should I do for this?
Yes. You are eligible to become an IAS Officer after completion of your Graduation in B.Sc in IT.
For this you need to crack civil services examination being conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year. Here is the complete selection procedure that you have to crack to become an IAS officer. -Civil Services Aptitude Test -Civil Services Main Examination -Interview There will be questions from the following categories in CSAT Exam. -Quantitative Aptitude -General Awareness -General English. So, try to be good enough with these things to get through CSAT Exam. After getting qualified in CSAT Exam, you should give Civil Services Main Examination with the 2 optional subjects that you have chosen while registering for this exam. I suggest you to choose the optional subjects which you are interested and after verifying the syllabus. One should be a Graduate to take this Exam. So, you are eligible to give this Exam. Have a glance over the required age criteria for this Exam. -A candidate of General category should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for this Exam. -Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST category. Have good preparation for this Exam and crack it. For updated information regarding this Exam, I suggest you to visit http://upsc.gov.in/ |
