It is a bold decision to go for MBA in IT after completion of B.Sc in Biotechnology.

Because both are completely different courses. Life Sciences to Information Technology is a risky decision.

Below is the eligibility criteria required to join MBA course.

-One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream with a minimum of 50% of marks.
-Relaxation is there in percentage of marks upto 5% for the candidates of SC/ST category.

As per eligibility, yes you are eligible to go for MBA in IT after completion of B.Sc Biotechnology.

As per job opportunities, I could say there are very less job opportunities for you.

Because Software companies will look for the candidates who have completed their studies with the respective courses like
B.Tech IT
B.Tech Computer Science
M.Sc Computer Science
MCA
BCA etc.

Very few IT companies will put the eligibility criteria is candidates of any stream from Graduation or Post Graduation.

You would be eligible for only such companies.

Instead of joining MBA in IT, I would suggest you to opt for the following life science specializations in MBA course.
MBA in Hospitality Management
MBA in Pharmaceutical Management

If you are not interested to continue with Life Sciences specializations, the following would be good choice for you.
MBA in Finance
MBA in Marketing Managment
MBA in Human Resource Management.

For the job opportunities after completion of MBA with any of these 3 specializations, you don't find much difficulties and your Graduation in Biotechnology will not be a problem.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
