Can I do my Company Secretary of Cost Accounting via correspondence?
I'm pursuing my B.Com right now and was thinking to do any professional course also. So, can I do my Company Secretary or Cost and Management Accountant via correspondence while I am doing my B.Com?

Re: Can I do my Company Secretary of Cost Accounting via correspondence?
Yes, you can study Company Secretary or Cost & Management Accounting course through correspondence. There are many institutions which provide CS & CMA courses through correspondence.
There are 3 levels in CS & CMA course i.e., Foundation course, Executive/ Intermediate course and Final/ Professional course. The eligibility required for foundation course is 10th/ 10+2 or its equivalent education from any recognized board. For Executive/ Intermediate course it is graduation level degree/ foundation course. For Final/ Professional course you need to complete executive/ intermediate course. Based on your qualification you can go for foundation course through correspondence and complete your B.Com at the same time or you can complete your B.Com and join in Executive course through correspondence. For more information visit the official website of ICSI & ICMAI. |

Examination for Company Secretary is conducted twice in a year- June and December.
You can pursue it from distance mode also. Eligibility criteria are as follows:- Candidates must be an Intermediate degree holder or appearing candidates are also eligible. Candidates who have cleared CACPT or have cleared CMA Foundation exams are eligible. Candidates who have a Master’s degree in any discipline other than Fine Arts exempt from appearing CS Foundation exams. |
