Can I do PhD in Political Science if haven't studied the subject at post graduation level?


I have done pgdm in marketing and want to do phd in political science as i had done B.A in political science. I loved the subject and so want to study it further. Please kindly help as i have no clue as to how to go ahead with the course and which college would be perfect for this course.

I further would like to enquire if we have possibility of doing this course online or distance education.

You have completed post graduate diploma so you are not eligible for Ph.D course.

If you have completed masters degree from a recognized university then you are eligible for Ph.D course. General and OBC candidates should hold 55% and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

There is no age criteria.
