Can I be eligible for IPS exam after completing BCA
I have completed bca on 2011.can i eligible ddor giving the ips exams?

Yes you will be eligible for appearing in IPS Exam.
This Exam is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission). But for appearing in this exam you will require the following eligibility:- >>You must be passed out in BCA From recognized university. >>Your degree should be approved from the UGC. >>If you have completed your BCA from distance learning then your degree should be approved from the DEC(Distance Education council). >>Your minimum marks in BCA should be 50%. Age:- >>Your minimum age should be 21 years. >>Your age should not be above 28 years. There is also Limitations Regarding Number of attempts. Its details are as follows:- >>If you belong from the General category then you can appear only 4 times. >>If you belong from the OBC category then you can appear only 7 times. yes you are eligible for the ips exam. Provided you have a degree certificate. Should get a minimum of 50% in degree. Also be a indian. Should be less than 30 years. Then only you can write the exam. Pattern : Prelims Mains Interview Hope this helps. Best, Sammy |

Yes, you are eligible for IPS exam after BCA(Bachelor of Computer Application), off course any Graduate from any stream is eligible for IPS.
There is no specific exam as IPS exam. IPS - Indian Police Service and to become an IPS officer, one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year. The eligible candidate must be an Indian national having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness. Apart from this the candidate aspiring for IPS should have minimum prescribed Physical requirement such as:- HEIGHT - General/OBC Male-165cm and Female-150cm while SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm. CHEST - Should be 84cm for male and 79cm for Female candidate expandable to 5cm in both the cases. Hence after completiong BCA, you are eligible to apply for IPS, Civil Service exam.
