Mostly you won't find time anyways I appreciate your decision for preparation towards IAS when you are at the MBBS Second year only. Don't get any doubt about your eligibility you are 100% eligible after completing your MBBS degree means I hope you will get 21 years at the age of receiving your degree if you get so then you are cent percent eligible for IAS entrance But coming to preparation it's not that easy with your academics because I know many case studies. Case Study 1) A person named Mihra who is doing his post graduation as you said in the same way prepared for IAS per day 1 hour with full concentration by taking Mech and Public Administration as his optional but sadly he was unsuccessful in his first attempt, He completed his MBA and then sat at home doing a part time job for food and basic needs prepared seriously full time for IAS Entrance and secured IRS cadre with some so and so rank. Case Study 2) A person who is my sister Ashisha who is working in a MNC has a deep heart goal to become a IAS officer but didn't express infront of his dad because he is against govt jobs so she attempted IAS entrance in the secret way and she secured a good rank but didn't got a rank which can get her IAS cadre so she resigned for her work and then with the support of her dad she attempted with full concentration and by luck or her hard work she got a good rank which got her dream come true. In this two case studies what you have to observe is the persons who try for these services entrances they have to be very much concentrated with the preparation then only they can achieve their desired goal or else they have to don't think about after circumstances after attempting the exam with that preparation it is going to be mere waste. This is all I want to share All the best Regards ~AdityA~ |

you are right now not eligible for appearing into IAS exam.. firstly ,you have to complete your MBBS degree then you will be eligible for that as it requires an age limit for appearing into this exam which is 21-30 years...
so., firstly complete your MBBS then attempt for the same... |

On this stage when you are in second year of MBBS course, you are not eligible for the IAS examination as the minimum educational qualification required to apply for the IAS examination is Graduation, and now you are not a graduate. You will be eligible for the exam after completion of the MBBS course. To prepare for the IAS examination you can join any good coaching center which provides coaching for the IAS examination. Best Wishes........ |

Re: Am I eligible for IAS and IPS Exams pursuing my 2nd year of MBBS? How to prepare for these exams?
IAS/IPS - Indian Administrative Service/Indian Police service, to become an IAS/IPS officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam after Graduation Degree in any stream of education even MBBS, so being pursing 2nd year MBBS you are not eligible for this.
The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. Hence as you are interested after completion of MBBS degree you are eligible to apply for Civil Service exam. At least one year rigorous preparation is must for this exam before sitting for the same. Re: Am I eligible for IAS and IPS Exams pursuing my 2nd year of MBBS? How to prepare for these exams?
Hi Guest,
As you are still in 2nd year you need to wait for few more years in order to apply for the examination. In your final year you can apply for the Civils Exam in order to become an IAS or IPS officer. The exam is conducted by UPSC and at present you are not eligible but in final year you can apply for the examination. Thank you, All the best. |
