I am sorry to say that girls are not eligible for NDA Examination

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for NDA Examination

NDA Stands for National Defence Academy examination .UPSC conduct twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The candidate must have a complete the 12th from a recognized university Or equivalent qualification are applicable for NDA exam.Science student are applicable for NDA all branch but Commerce and arts department are applicable for only Indian Army post.

But your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.Only unmarried male candidate are applicable for NDA exam.You must have citizenship of India.

So GIRLS candidate are not applicable for NDA exam .

But after completion of your graduation degree you are applicable for CDS , AFCAT ,UES Exam.

The selection procedure for NDA exam is 1) Written Test. 2) Personal Interview.

for the NDA exam the following are the criterion-

1.you should be an Indian

2.your age should be between 16.5 to 19 years

3.you should be an unmarried male

4.you should have passed 12th from science or commerce stream form a recognized board.


so as you are a girl you cannot appear for the exam.

Iam really sorry to say this you are not eligible for NDA(National Defence Academy) exam because girls are not eligible for NDA exam. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.


Eligibility criteria:-

The candidate should be complete 12th standard from a recognised state or central board of india.

Percentage is not required for this exam.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

Candidate must be a indian origin.

Candidate should be physically fit.

The age limits are 16.5 years to 19 years.

No relaxation in age.

Girls are not eligible for NDA exam hence you should not fill NDA forms.

NDA exam is only for unmarried male of age between 16 1/2 to 19 years.

So if you are a girl and want to join defence then you should complete your graduation degree and apply for exams like CDS and AFCAT.

Eligibility For NDA

The NAtional Defense Academy Exam is conducted for recruitment to the following wings by the UPSC :-

>> Army Wing
>> Navy Wing
>> Air Force Wing

The NDA Exam is conducted in the months of April and August every year..

A candidate is eligible for appearing for NDA if :-

>> The candidate is appearing for 12th or has already cleared 12th from a recognized board..

>> The candidate must be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years..

Hence, I am really very sorry but girls are not eligible for appearing for NDA..

Although, you can definitely appear for Combined Defense Services also conducted by UPSC in the months of February and September..

For appearing for CDS Exam..the candidate must have the following eligibility criterion :-

>> He/she must be in the final year of graduation or must have already completed graduation..

>> The candidate must be in the following age limits for various wings :-

Indian Navy :- 19-22 years
Indian Military Academy :- 19-23 years
Indian Air Force :- 19-24 years
Officer's Training Academy : 19-25 years

Sorry to say this Girls are not eligible to join Defence with help of NDA examination.Am giving some of information about NDA for you clarification.

NDA examination is a way to Join Defence just after completing his Intermediate examination, those who are interested to Join Army, Navy and Air force wings may apply for NDA Examination, this examination is conducted by UPSC, two times in a year.

NDA Examination is only for Unmarried male candidates only, Girls are not eligible for NDA because girls are not fit as compared to boys at the age of 16.5 to 19 years. Training in NDA is also very tough and girls are not fit for NDA Training, so this is the main reason that girls are not eligible for NDA.

Your age should between 19 to 25 years to apply for CDS Examination. Girls can only choose officer's training Academy only as the preference at the time of filling online application form.

There are lots of entries for girls after completing Graduation. So please complete your graduation and then you are eligible to apply for CDS Examination. There are also women entry scheme for girls to Join Defence and those who are interested to join Indian Air force may apply for Air force common admission test.

No I am really sorry to state that YOU CANNOT FILL UP FOR THE NDA EXAM being a GIRL.

This is no discrimination but just an Eligibility Criteria that every girl is restricted entry to. However please do not get disheartened as there are other Defense entry schemes as well. You can try for those entries.

CDS - Combined Defense Services

This exam is conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year for the recruitment of officers for the Army, Navy and Air Force. For that you have to satisfy the following Eligibility Criteria's :-

-> You should be a minimum graduate in ANY stream from a recognized government or private education colleges or university.

-> You should be having at least 60% in your graduation or 50% (relaxed) if you have any quota.

-> You must have the quota valid certificate for which you are applying.

-> Both males and females can apply for the CDS Examination.

-> You should meet some physical requirements which are prescribed as per their standards and also satisfy them.

-> Age limits are different but wholly you should be a candidate between 21-25 years of age for the GEN.

There are some entries in the CDS too namely, IMA, OTS (males), OTS (females), etc.

The CDS 2013 Registration is open now. You can download the application form and read ALL THE OTHER INSTRUCTIONS about detailed educational qualifications, pay scales etc in that.

I have got 98.9 % in 12th
it's not fair!!!
