hi....there
i have done 12th with commerce stream and i don't have maths and computer in 12th.Right now i am doing bca from sikkim manipal university and i have maths in bca.
can i get admission in good university for mca?
OR
should i change the course?
please tell me............

For persuing MCA having Maths at +2 level is mandatory.With out that you can not Persue MCA,weather from reputed or Small institute.

You can also enroll for some post graduate diploma or courses like CEH, Red Hat for good job profile.

However, you can opt for MBA (IT,Marketing) that will be much better for you the any other courses.Career prospect after that will be much promissing, according to IT Market analysis after recession carried out by a leading Job portal today more then 4,000 MBA (IT,Marketing) professionals with good IT background are required by IT giants for efficient work handelling across all India.

compulsory in 12th standard. if you dont have maths and cs in 12th
class, then there are no chance to get admission in mca from any
good colleges in india. and i am totally surprised, how you will get
admission in bca in manipal sikkim university without maths and cs
in 12th class. so according to my knowledge, you will not get
admission in mca..................

Sorry friend the first criteria for the admission in the MCA is that you must have the mathematics as your main subject in the + 2 level.

Without the mathematics you will not allowed to be admitted in any of the college for the MCA course.

but as you have BCA degree. so you can do MCA from your university from where you are currently doing BCA.

I really regret that you can't get admission in renowned MCA colleges or institutes as you had not maths in your 10(+2)..

Because one must have maths as a main subject in 12th,to study MCA or to sit for the MCA entrance tests like NIMCET,AIMCET,PGCET etc..

As you are doing BCA from Sikkim Manipal university, so on the basis of your BCA you can apply for MCA anywhere.
But if you didn't do BCA then matjhs in +2 will be mandatory.
now you don't worry about it, just study well & also take preparation for MCA entrance exams.

there is no need to change your course.

you are doing right course.for getting admission in good university to do MCA only marks and performance of BCA course is required. the courses done in 12th is nothing to do with MCA.

if you will do MCA after BCA then you will get good jobs in reputed software companies.you will get top positions.
