Can I get a job in PSU and government job on engineering basis? I have completed engineering after diploma


i have completed my engg. after diploma which is done after 10th class so can i get the job in PSU & Govt. job on Engg. basis.

You didn't mention in which subject you have completed B.Tech like ECE, Chemical, Mechanical etc. Still to answer your question, there are plenty of government jobs out there if you have completed B.Tech after diploma. Several government departments and Public Sector Undertaking can offen you job.

For example if you have completed B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering then the job prospects for you is very good in the following fields:

1. Automobile

2. Aerospace

3. Chemical

4. Communication

5. Computer

6. Steel

7. Power generation industries

8. Paper

The PSU who generally offer jobs to Mechanical Engineers in India are listed below

ONGC

DRDO

SAIL

NTPC

VSSR

ISRO

Similarly if you have completed B.Tech in ECE, there are various government jobs for you provided you have secured at least 65 percentage in the ECE. This rule also applies for various government sector jobs that are not just limited to ECE but Mechanical, Chemical etc. The various Public Sector Undertakings that can offer you jobs after ECE are:

BHEL
IOCL
NTPC
POWER GRID
ONGC
MTNL
SAIL

Kindly remember that several government PSU require you to appear in a exam before selected for a job. You can look for such ad posting on leading newspapers for India. The selection process is of two stages:

1. Written Test

2. Interview

Apart from that you can apply in several other government sectors for job by appearing in various exams. The options are

IAS

IPS

Indian Army, Air Force or Navy

Government Banks

Indian Railways

Yes, you have adequate qualifications to have a PSU job. Most of the PSU selects candidates on the basis of GATE score. Engineering graduates can try for UPSC ESE exam. Specialist Officer jobs in banks are suitable for you. BSNL JTO is another good job option.
