Yes, you need to attend an entrance test conducted by UPSC. The test is called NDA entrance exam and is conducted once in every year. But to join Air Force, you must have studied Physics and mathematics as subjects. Otherwise, you can join army only. Also, you must be an unmarried male candidate with age less than 19 years.

You have completed 12th standard with commerce department with 62% , so if you want to go for Indian Air Force exam then you should cleared the NDA exam .Because this exam recruit the candidate of Indian Air Force.

The details of NDA exam is given below-

NDA examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a yearI .This exam is conduct for recruitment in - Army wings, Navy wings, Air force Wings.

The minimum required qualification for NDA exam is 12th standard .If your 12th subject is mathematics and Physics then you are applicable for all above wings.NDA exam not require any percentage marks of the candidate.

If your 12th standard subject is mathematics and physics then only you are applicable for Indian Air Force Exam.

The candidate age should between 16.5 years to 19 years.There is no age relaxation for Sc/ST candidate . Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. You must have Citizenship of India.

Notification for NDA II Exam , 2013:-

Date of notification: 04th May, 2013
Last date for receipt of applications: 03rd June, 2013, Monday.
Date of commencement of exam: 11th August, 2013, Sunday.

From this year NDA application form must be submitted by only online system. The fees for NDA exam is 50/- .

The Union Public Service Commission conducts an examination "NDA Examination" for those candidates who want to join Indian Defense right after completing their higher secondary examination.

Through the NDA Exam , the candidates can join any of the following wings :
