I am sorry to say you that

after 10th not possible to give CPT examination

because the educational qualification for CPT is 12th standard

Exam Pattern

The CPT (Common Proficiency Test) is an objective type examination of 4 hours duration divided into 2 sessions of 2 hours each.

Each session consists of two subjects with a total marks of 100. The examination is a multiple choice examination with negative marking.

To qualify at the CPT, a student has to obtain a total of 50% marks in all the papers together.

Subjects

Session I

Section A : Fundamentals of Accounting

Section B : Mercantile Laws

Session II

Section C : General Economics

Section D : Quantitative Aptitude

Procedure to Become an Chartered Accountant

Pass CPT examination
Register/Enroll for Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC)
Complete 9 months of Study Course.
Complete 100 hours of Information Technology Training (ITT).
Complete Orientation Course (35 hours spread over one week).
Pass Group I or both Groups of Integrated Professional Competence Examination (IPCE).
Register as Articled Assistant for a period of 3 years.
Pass Group II of IPCC if not already passed.
Appear in Final Examination during last 6 months of 3 years of articled training.
Pass both the Groups of Final examination.
Get Final Examination Certificate.
Complete remaining period of articled training, if applicable
Complete Course on General Management and Communication Skill
Enroll as a member of ICAI and designate as "Chartered Accountant"

CPT exams or Common Profiency tests are held in June and December each year

Candidates who have appeared in class 12th exam or have passed class 12th exam can apply


In the CPT exams questions are asked from the below sections:
Fundamentals of accounting
Mercantile LAWS
General economics
Quantitative Aptitude

All the questions are asked in objective mode only
Candidates scoring minimum 50% marks are declared as pass
There are negative markings of .25 for each incorrect answer

I am sorry you are not eligible for the CPT exam after completing 10th & diploma engineering.

You need to complete the 12th standard for this exam.

CPT stands for Common Professional Test.

This exam is objective type of examination.

This exam duration is 4 hours.

And it is divided into two sessions with 2hours.

Section B : Mercantile Laws

Session II

Section C : General Economics

Section D : Quantitative Aptitude

CPT is a 3 month's foundation course.Candidates who are interested to do this course will be able to do registration for this course after passing the class 10th education but the minimum qualification required to write exam for this course will be Intermediate course pass out with any discipline.

• You will only be able to write the final exam of CPT after completing your Intermediate education.
• There is no age restriction for taking admission in this course.

The subjects that you will have to study in this course are as follows :

1. Fundamentals of Economics and Management.
2. Fundamentals of Accounting.
3. Fundamentals of Laws and Ethics.
4. Fundamentals for Business Mathematics and Statistics.

So you have completed your class X education as well as you have done Diploma course also so you can take admission in this course.But you will not able to write the final of CPT until you will not complete your Intermediate course .


Exam Pattern for CPT Exam :

• This exam will include questions from two sets.
• Each set will have 2 sections.

But I cann't understand the meaning of intermediate course.Is it XII exam of commerce.If it is, how many percentage required and which subjects for XII is necessary and if it is not, which intermediatecousr

m i eligible for cpt examination ? after completed diploma engineering with 90% I m heard that ..diploma engineering is equal to 12 science examination so im asking u so I m eligible for cpt examination ?

Sir I'm completed ssc with 81% and after that I'm got into diploma with 3 years of course so I can eligible for cpt exam dis year Dec 2014 .I'm waiting for u r valueable answer.

After completing my B.E mechanical engineering what course can I do in CPT ....with less duration

3 years diploma is consider as 10 2 and valid for CA exam .if after diploma i am doing B.COM
