Can I join Indian Army while doing BDS course?
i am studying 3rd yr bds.now i would like to join the army while studying the bds course parallely.i have seen the cds examination but age limit is 24 & should have a degree or appearing for a degree.now my age is 21.is there possibility to join the army parallely studying the bds course?kindly asnwer me.

No,its not possible for you to join the Indian Army parallely with your BDS course as a degree is compulsory for the CDS exam & the BDS course is also a regular one.So better to finish it first & then only go for the another one.

The minimum qualification required for the Indian army is as follows:- -> 10+2 pass candidates with physics , chemistry , maths with a minimum of 55-60% marks. -> Age limitation is between 16.5 - 19 years with no relaxation. -> Only unmarried male candidates can apply for the exam. -> Eyesight should be 6/6 of both the eyes with no color blindness. -> Minimum height should be 157.5 cm with 5 cm chest expansion. If you are pursuing bachelor degree in dental science then you should opt for AMC. If you wish to join AMC then you will get the admission form online in the official website. Eligibility wise, for joining the Army Medical Corps, candidates should have MD, MS, DM degree with registration under state medical council/ MCI and qualification included in 1st & 2nd schedule “or” part II of the third schedule of IMC Act, 1956. Candidates must not have attained more than forty five (45) years of age . Candidates who shall be completing an internship by March current year can also apply. Any applicant who has attempted more than two chances in final MBBS exam are barred from applying. All selected candidates should apply for post-graduation entrance exam after completion of four years of commissioned service. The tenure of Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officer will be of five (05) years.
