Hello,
Yes , you can join Indian Army and keep your passion ignited . NDA means National Defence Academy is your first step to enter Idian Army . The eligibility for NDA is : 1] Nationality : Indian 2] Eduacational Qualification : 10+2 For Indian Air Force and Navy , a candidate has to be 10+2 or equivalent with physics and Mathematics For Indian Army , a candidate has to be 10+2 or equivalent in any discipline . So as the commerce students don't have Physics in their studies they cannot apply for Indian Air Force and Navy . But they can surely apply for Indian Army . 3] Mariatal Status : Unmarried male A candidate should'nt marry until the training course is completed 4] Age : 16 1/2 to 19 years |

Re: How can I join Indian Army? I am a commerce student
As a commerce student, there are limited direct entry options to join the Indian Army as an officer. However, there are still some opportunities available for you. Here are a few ways you can join the Indian Army:
Combined Defence Services (CDS) Exam: The CDS exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and is a common entry point for graduates to join the Indian Army as officers. While the CDS exam is open to candidates from all educational backgrounds, including commerce, it is important to note that the competition is high, and the selection process is rigorous. You will need to clear the written exam and subsequent SSB interview to join the Indian Army through the CDS entry. Army Education Corps (AEC): The Army Education Corps is a branch of the Indian Army that recruits individuals with specific academic qualifications for commissioned officer positions. While the requirements may vary, a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject is required to apply for the AEC entry. However, there may be specific vacancies or recruitment drives that consider commerce graduates for certain positions within the AEC. It is advisable to regularly check the official recruitment notifications for eligibility criteria and vacancies. Short Service Commission (SSC): The Indian Army conducts special recruitment drives for various positions through the Short Service Commission. While the majority of the SSC positions are technical or non-technical in nature, there may be specific vacancies that consider candidates from commerce backgrounds for administrative or logistics-related positions. It is recommended to stay updated with the official recruitment notifications to know about such opportunities. |
