merchant navy is open to every one interested in serving their country. to apply for such a pretigious post you need to have physics,chemistry and maths i.e. pcm as your subjects in class 12th. after your class 12th boards you can file in for nda also with the same subjects. nda is national defence academy. it will open more doors for u to enter merchant navy. but you are eligible for nda exams only till the age of 20.
